INTRODUCTION
WHAT IS WIRELESS ?

In networking technology wireless is the term

used to describe any computer network were
there is no physical wired connection between
sender and receiver, but rather the network is
connected by radio waves aur microwave to
maintain communication.

Wireless network utilizes specific equipment

such as NICs and Routers in place of wires.
1G TECHNOLOGY
1G refers to the first generation of wireless cellular
technology. These are the analog telecommunications
standards that were introduced in the 1980s. This
technology is invented by MARTIN COOPER in 1986. And
manufactured by MOTOROLA.
Advantage of 1G technology:-
1. Improve voice clarity.
2. It uses the analog signal.
3. It reduce noice in the line.
4. It's speed was up to 2.4 kbps.
Drawbacks of 1G technology:-
1. Poor vice Quality.
2. Poor battery life.
3.large phone size.
4. Limited Capacity
5. No Security
2G TECHNOLOGY
2G technology refers to the 2nd generation which is based
on Global System for Mobile GSM.
=> It was launched in Finland in the year 1991.
=> 2G network uses digital signals.
=> The speed of its data is upto 64kbps.
Features included:-
* It enables services such as text messages, picture
messages and MMS (multi Media messages).

* It provides better quality and capacity.

Drawbacks of 2G:-
* It requires strong digital signals to work on mobiles.

* These systems are unable to handle complex data such as

Videos.
* 3G technology refers to third generation which was
introduced in year 2000s.
* Data transmission speed increased from 144kbps-2mbps.
Features of 3G technology :-
* Providing faster communication.
* Send , receive large email message
* High speed web/more security
* Video conferencing/3d games
Deawbacks of 3G technology
Expensive fee for 3G services
High band width requirements
Expensive 3G phones
Large cell phones
* High speed data access
* High quality streeming videos
* Cappable to providing 100 mbps -1Gbps
* Provide any kind of service at any time as per user
requirements,anyware.
Features included:-
More security
High speed
High capacity
Low cost per bit etc
Drawbacks of 4G:-
Battery uses is more.
Need complex hardware
Hard to implesment.
5G technology refers to short name of fifth
generation.
Complete wireless communication with almost
no limitations.
It is highly supportable to wwww(wireless, world
wide web ).
