In this semester, I took Speaking 1 course which was trained us how to be able for gaining our
self confidence to speak up more fluently in front a lot of people. Last week, we learn about
“Thanking People And Replying to Thanks”. We looked at and practiced some situations where a
thankyou would be expected. In order to get more understand with this topic, we practiced to make
a dialogue using any expressions of thanks with the appropriate level of formality. But I think, it
would be easy to use informal situation.

I made a dialogue based on the situation where my friend gave me a mug which I wanted to
collect, but that mug couldn’t be found in this city. I felt touched because of her sincerity for getting
it, so I’m really grateful for what she had done.

After performanced the previous video about “invitation”, I expect to build up on my

weakness points and try more enjoy my next performance. But that was wrong. My low confidence
came again, and it little bit bother us. Moreover, my partner didn’t memorizing the dialogue text
well. I don’t mean to blame all of this mess caused by her, but when I was trying to hold back my
pudency, she seemed like keep going wrong. I’m pretty upset because we need to repeat that scene
again and again.

It has an impact for the record. Ours doesn’t look good. We kept improved to act more natural
but that wasn’t enough to cover up the inconveniences between us. The scene was also bored. I
have seen a video of my friend, and they had different plot. I realize that we don’t creative a lot to
make more interesting video which can entertain the viewers. It looks like we just speak with a good
pronounciation, use a facial expression, take a record and done. Only those thing that we’ve focused
all this time. We couldn’t pay any attention to make our video more attractive.
 As long as I took a record, I’m quite satisfied with my pronounciation or the body language
and those kind of facial expression. And until this time, I would be thankful because I never got a bad
criticism about my performance. Only some technical like the angel of camera or the loudness of the
sound which had a criticism. I wish I can keep them for always to be my strength points in next
recording.

I think it would be better if I make a different plot with more creative idea. I want something
new because from the first time I made a video, the position we talked is always same, the scene
just around the campus and the house, also the plot is totally fed up. It’s not catchy anymore. I still
don’t know how that situation will come to be, but I will try to find out the suitable story for us.
