Dear Professor,

Please excuse the lateness of this notification, but due to an unforeseen change by the Kennedy
Center, a number of our students’ class schedule are being affected.

The Student bearing this letter will be performing with the Musical Theatre Division on Monday
February 12, 2018 at The Kennedy Center, Millennium Stage in Washington D.C. Because of
the Kennedy Center’s schedule change, the call time for students is now scheduled for 2:00pm.

I ask that you please excuse this student from your class to allow for travel, with the
understanding that he or she will be responsible for materials covered during class, as per the
university’s policy for excusing students for cultural events. The student has been notified that it
is up to your discretion whether or not this is considered an excused absence from class.
