On Monday 16th May, 12 Year 10 students went on a one-day excursion to Temburong. While we were
there, we were under the supervision of two Geography teachers, Gkg Ghani and Ckg Harman.
When we arrived at the canopy walk it started to rain, but it was decided that the trip should go ahead.
Before we started the walk, we were told to behave responsibly and to take our time while walking, as
the track had become very slippery.
At first, everything went well but then the rain became heavier and it was becoming more difficult to
walk. After a while, the rain stopped and we decided to have a rest and enjoy our packed lunches and
cold drinks. Our teachers had told us to stay close where we could be supervised. However,
two students, Azim and Fedli ignored the instructions and decided to explore. Minutes later, we heard a
scream and on investigating Ckg Harman discovered that both boys had fallen down a steep track. Ckg
Harman went to help the boys and after examining the boys, he reported that Azim seemed to have
suffered nothing more than a few scratches whereas Fedli was in considerable pain and seemed to have
hurt his ankle. As soon as the teachers realized that Fedli was hurt, they used their phones to contact
Search and Rescue as it was obvious that Fedli would not be able to walk back to the bus. Then Ckg
Harman asked me to stay with him and the injured boys while Ckg Ghani accompanied the other 9
students back to the bus which was waiting to take them to the boat .
Eventually, three men arrived with a fold-up stretcher and Fedli was given pain killing tablets and helped
back. Both Fedli and Azim were taken to hospital where they were kept overnight for observation but
neither student was seriously hurt. We finally arrived back at school at 8pm.
I believe the two boys were responsible for the accident as they disobeyed the teachers in charge of the
excursion.

While you were in the school car park last week, you witnessed a bullying incident which is being
investigated by the Principal and she has asked you for an account of what happened. Include the
following information:
Remember that short black hair and brown eyes describes many of the male students at AAC so think
of a distinctive feature. For example, a birthmark, a jacket with a black skull on it or a large pink watch.

To make a magic potion, you’ll need many ingredients. Some of them are hard to find,
but you should be able to get them in more troublesome neighbourhoods of most big
cities! For this recipe, you’ll need 2 spoons of lemon juice, 2 spoons of a mummy’s
blood, 1 spoon of crushed nails, 1 spoon of crushed bones and 1 spoon of bat
droppings. You’ll also need various tools, such as 1 wet tissue, 1 paper napkin, 1
clear cup, 1 plastic spoon and 1 towel (to wipe up any accidents!)
Before you touch the ingredients, wipe your hands with a wet tissue. This will get rid of any germs
that might be lurking around! Place the tissue on the corner of your desk. Then, place a paper
napkin flat on your desk in front of you. This will prevent any spillage from soiling your desk. You
are ready to start making your magic potion!
First, take a clear plastic cup. Pour in two spoons of lemon juice. Add two spoons of a mummy’s
blood. Put in a spoon of crushed bones. Don’t put in TOO MUCH or your glass will overflow!
Sprinkle some bat droppings on top. I know, this sounds disgusting, but without it your potion
won’t work. Finally, mix in one heaped spoon of crystallized, crushed nails if desired. Magic
potions tend to be bitter and powdered nails are known to help sweeten the taste.
Now, the moment you’ve been waiting for! Close your eyes and make a wish… Repeat it
3 times. If you really want your wish to come true, open your eyes and TAKE A SIP!
Good luck!
