Let’s Explore!

Sally writes a blog about her ski trip experience.

Instructions: Read the text aloud.

I loved my ski trip to the French Alps! Skiing is a very old sport. Archaeologists found very
old skis on mountains in Sweden and Finland. They were about 4,500 years old.
Skiing began as a sport in Norway, and then moved to other countries around the world.
Learning to ski was not easy. My lesson focused on the basics. Here's some advice.
Fasten the ski boots tightly. Don't forget to use goggles and gloves. Put on the skis carefully.
When skiing, use your poles to keep your balance. The only thing I didn't learn was how to
slow down or stop.
Oops! Watch out, people below me! I'm above you and I can't stop! Next time, I'm going to
take more than one lesson!
