Comparative analysis of IPHONE

Under this we will we comparing iphone with its other competitors. Before we have a look at
its competitors we should know that IPHONE was a first phone that was launched by apple into
the market and the first with its unique touch technology i.e. the phone that could be fully
operated through fingers touch and didn’t need a stick to operate it. This was the latest
technology advancement or revolution that was bought into the mobile industry by apple and
made other companies to think on the same line.

First Apple IPHONE was launched in the year 2007 and it is said no company has been able to
provide such software till date and such unique & user-friendly interface.

Now let’s have a look at the competitors of IPHONE. There are not much phones that stands in
competition with the IPHONE but still there are few launched by blackberry, HTC and Samsung
(android base). There are many other phones also that the other companies have launched but
still they have not been able to withstand competition with IPHONE.

Blackberry Storm was the first IPHONE killer i.e. to come in competition with IPHONE and also a
first touch screen phone launched by it consisting sure press as one of its important features in
order to differentiate it from iphone. It was developed by RIM (research in motion). It targeted
the same segment as that of the IPHONE i.e. the luxury segment. But even though after its
launch its unique features and lower price it was not able to face competition from apple cause
of its bad user interface.

Now in this generation HTC still up to some extent has been able to develop a phone in
collaboration with google that has come near IPHONE in terms of functionality but has not
surpassed it. The HTC nexus is loaded with google’s android platform that makes it easy to use
& provides the phone with a different look from that of the IPHONE in case the person nwants to
go in for a change.
Another Competitor of IPHONE has been launched by Samsung this year by the name of Samsung
Galaxy. This phone is also loaded with google’s famous android platform. Even though its touch screen
capability & applications have been able to match up with iphone but its User interface is a bit sluggish
also there are problems such as small battery life.

According to a survey 80% of the IPHONE users want their next device to run IOS while for the
android 70% of them want to switch to another android base phone and when it comes to
blackberry only 47% of them want their next phone to be a blackberry. Also the pace at which
android users will like to try IPHONE is twice as high than the IPHONE users will go for Android.

In short IPHONE relations or comparing it with others phone is like comparing father and son
i.e. like son can never equal a father in the similar ways it’s been over 3 years and till now no
company has been able to match up with the IPHONE whether in terms of features, usage and
even sales.

Apple IPHONE even though being so costly has the highest sales. It creates a niche market for itself and
stands as a luxury and status symbol for people carrying it.
