CHATHAM BREWING TO RELEASE SPECIAL COMMEMORATIVE

BEER AT CHATHAM SUMMERFEST 2019
The Village of Chatham celebrates their 150th anniversary with Chatham Brewing and
many other local businesses.

CHATHAM, N.Y. (July 18, 2019) — Chatham Brewing, Columbia County’s first and finest brewery in New
York’s upper Hudson Valley, will be releasing a brand new lager to celebrate the Village of Chatham’s
150th anniversary at Chatham SummerFest on Saturday, July 20, 2019.

This commemorative 150th Anniversary Lager pays tribute to the history and growth of the village of
Chatham, founded in 1869. Brewed as a union between the popular German-style lagers of the 1860’s
and modern hoppy ales; this beer features classic lagering techniques and 2-row pilsner malts with the
addition of more modern El Dorado hops imparting notes of tropical fruit, stone fruit, and pear
complimenting the clean taste of the traditional German lager.

“When you look around the Village of Chatham you’re surrounded by a history of unique yet integrated
cultures, and what better way to pay homage to that than with a beer steeped in local history yet still
refreshing on a hot summer day,” said Tom Crowell, co-founder and co-owner, Chatham Brewing.

Chatham Brewing will be releasing this limited-edition beer in commemorative 12-ounce cans featuring a
painting of Chatham’s iconic Main Street, by renowned local artist Roger Mason. The 150th anniversary
lager will be available in cans and on draft throughout the summer at the brewery and in local stores, while
supplies last. It will also be served on draft at the Fireman's Convention held on July 27 at the Columbia
County Fair Grounds.

In addition to the commemorative beer, Chatham SummerFest will include music and entertainment, food
trucks, activities for kids, a farmer’s market, artisan vendors and a Big Head Parade. For more information
