A. Listening Resource

‘’ how do you define your self.? I lizzie velasquez.

B. Brief Summary of the Listening Resource

Lizzie Velasques told audiance about her life she has a syndrome that make her can not fat.
But she is always see in positive and always greatfull. She said that a good think because she
can eat as much as she want without worring. She felt lucky because she was given a very
miracles apportunity, because the original she was confited of defects and unable to speak,
think, and even do for her self. Her mother always support her. She should not be discouraged
even thought many of children mock her and her mother said she was same as the other
althought with what she experienced from other children. She remains a cheerfull child and
can make her parrent happy because of her and she has prover to the people who have taunted
her that she can succes. She has become motivator speaker, writter, and succes on career.
She has a principle that she doesn’t care what a people said to her because her life in her
hand, not in a people said and she can choose good or evil in her life.

C. Personal Response to the Content

1. Before I start to listen, I have a plan in my head for how I am going to listen.
2. I translate in my head as I listen.
3. I use the words I understand to guess the meaning of the words I do not understand.
4. As I listen, I compare what I understand with what I know about the topic.
5. I try to get back on track when I lose concentration.
6. After listening, I think back to how I listened, and about what I might do differently
next time.
7. I use the general idea of the text to help me guess the meaning of the words that I do
not understand.

For the next listening task, I will be more focused and have full concentration. I will only

5. Concentrate too hard or unable to concentrate;
6. Quickly forget what is heard;
7. Unable to form a mental representation from words heard;
8. Do not understand subsequent parts of input because of earlier problems;
9. Understand words, but not the intended message.
10. Confused about the key ideas in the message.
