STALACTITE

Description:
Stalactite is a type of formation that hangs from the ceilings of cave, hot springs or
manmade structures such as bridges and mines. Any materials that is soluble, can be
deposited as a olloid, or is in suspension, or is capable of being melted, may form a
stalactite. A stalactite is not necessarily a speleothem, through speleothems are the most
common form of stalactite because of the abundance of limestone caves. Stalactite form
of calcium salts deposited by dripping water.

NARRATIVE REPORT
When I enter inside of cave i saw that there is a stone in the higher part it is called as
stalactite. That catching my attention because of its unique appearance. Its look like a
crystal that shimmering when the light shots on it. Its sparkling.
CHERT

Description:
Chert is a hard , fine grained sedimentary rocks composed of crystals of quartz (silica)
are the very small (microcrysralline or cryptocrystalline) quartz (silica) is the mineral
form of the silicon dioxide. Chert is often of biological origin (organic) but may also occur
inorganically as a chemical precipitate or a diagenetic replacement . Geologists use chert
as a generic name for any type of microcrystalline or cryptocrystalline quartz.

NARRATIVE REPORT
When I came inside the cave. I saw a kind of stone that has a widespread and has a
smooth and sedimentary texture. Chert is a transparent stone. It is also have a
crystaline and silky texture that possess inorganic.
STALAGMITE

Description:
Stalagmite is a mound or tapering column rising from the floor of a cave, formed of
calcium salts deposited by dripping water and often uniting with a stalactite. Stalagmite
maybe composed by lava, minerals, mud, peat, pitch, sand, sinter, and amberal. A
stalagmite is an upward-growing mound of mineral deposits that have precipitated
from water dripping onto the floor of a cave. Most stalagmites have rounded or flattened
tips. There are many other types of mineral formations found in caves.

NARRATIVE REPORT
When I first saw this stone there has a definite hardness texture. It is also have a
flat tips the covered on it. Stalagmite is a kind of sharp stone the it can be seen in the
lower part of tha cave.it can give also a minerals that can be deposit by forming calcium
salts.
