•Barter system -where goods are directly exchanged without the use of money where
double coincidence of wants is an essential feature.

•Collateral is an asset that the borrower owns (such as land, building, vehicle, livestock,
deposits with banks) and uses this as a guarantee to a lender until the loan is repaid.

•Finance Commission is to be constituted by the President every 5 years. The Chairman


must be a person having ‘experience in public affairs’.
The Finance Commission recommends to the President as to the distribution between the
Union and the States of the net proceeds of taxes to be divided between them and the
allocation between the States of respective shares of such proceeds.
