Great durability.Virtually no maintenance
Functionality is a true hallmark of Cembrit fibre
cement. The cladding sheets combine strength
with easy handling and a stylish, versatile
appearance­, making them ideal for any facade.
The secret behind the impressive strength of the
fibre-cement sheets resides in the manufacturing
process. Thin layers of the material are added on
top of each other, then pressed firmly together
under tremendous pressure before the sheets
have completed a slow curing process. Reinforced
by specially selected fibres, the many thin layers
give fibre-cement a strength with few peers in the
world of building materials.
A major advantage of fibre-cement cladding is its
ability to resist weather of all kinds. Frosts and
thaws, lots of heat, lots of water – none of these
pose a threat to fibre-cement facades. Fibre-
cement­sheets retain their shape at all times, and
their ability to resist rot and fungal infection is
equally impressive. The result is a long-lived facade
with minimum maintenance requirements.
Natural materials
Cembrit fibre-cement sheets are made from
natural­materials: cement (i.e. a mixture of chalk
and clay), sand, and water, supplemented by
non-toxic organic fibres. The sheets are
fully reusable­and the energy footprint of the
manufacturing­process is very modest.

URBANNATURE­range, were carefully chosen.
They reflect current overarching trends that
affect­architecture: greater urbanisation combined­
with renewed interest in nature. Even more
importantly­, they resonate with deep-seated
human urges. For better architecture. And more
satisfying environments.
Colours based on careful thought
How did we decide on the new Cembrit colours?
The URBANNATURE concept was developed in
close co-operation between the Cembrit R&D
department and designers and architects from
Pentagon Design. They considered how human
beings perceive and respond to colours, both
conscious and unconscious. Based on research
and testing, we developed a range of colours that
please, soothe and excite. Just as they do in nature.

Our goal with the URBANNATURE colour
range was to offer a colour palette that supports
architectural creativity. To bring you colours that
enhance and interact with your buildings. Subtle
or bold, restrained or daring. Mix and match to
suit your vision.
Visionary and practical
The URBANNATURE palette is not just visionary­
in scope – it takes the practicalities of modern­
architecture­into account, too. The way we
perceive­colours depends on light and scale: a
large surface makes a very different impact than a
tiny sample. All Cembrit colours have been tested
on large, sunlit surfaces to ensure that you get the
desired glow and optimal colour depth.

Painted surface – in the colour of your choice

Cembrit Metro lets you play with colour to your heart’s content. The boards
are covered with water-based acrylic paint that is 100% opaque, creating a
smooth, even look. The result is boards that are powerfully resistant to green
moss and algae­, water stains, and dirt.

The URBANNATURE colours selected for Cembrit Metro are inspired

by vibrant cities of Europe. Clear and bright, they exude sophisticated
confidence. But Cembrit Metro can also be supplied in any NCS-S colour

With Cembrit Edge, grey fibre-cement is given two coats of a semi-

transparent glaze.You get the natural properties of the fibre-cement
board, but you also get to explore the world of colour. The final result
is a strong, smooth and expressive surface that still allows the texture
and variety of the fibre cement to shine through.

With Cembrit Zenit you get the benefits of a through-coloured base-

board and a full-covering coating. The unique combination of a through-
coloured baseboard and 100% opaque, water-based acrylic paint that
matches the rich, natural colour of the baseboard gives a smooth, uniform
surface and reduces the risk of visible scratches. The result is facade
boards that are powerfully resistant to green moss and algae, water stains,
and dirt.

protected­by a specially developed­, transparent­coating which helps

the transparent coating simply adds extra depth.

The surface treatment also helps your facade retain its light, airy

Fix the fibre-cement facade boards to the sub-

construction by “hanging” the boards on the
aluminium profile. A special groove locks the
board to the profile and ensures that the board
remains fixed when exposed to heavy wind and

During the production process, the Cembrit Cembonit boards receive

a unique treatment which protects them all the way through. Being
impregnated, the boards are efficiently protected against water staining
