METHODOLOGY
This chapter presents the research design, research instrument, research locale, research
respondents, research procedure of the study and statistical tool for the interpretation of the data.
Research Design
In this study the researcher used descriptive correlation method to describe the value of
extra-curricular activities to student’s physical and mental condition. Since this study measured
data that already exist and the number of respondents is not large, the descriptive correlation

Research Instruments
In collecting the data the researcher used questionnaire in identifying the value of extra-
curricular activities to the student’s physical and mental condition. Survey method is done
In collecting the data the researcher asked an approval to the administration. They explain
the objectives and purpose of the study. The researcher makes questionnaire composed of 20
items and distributed it to the students and let them answer it honestly. The college students were
chosen as the respondents for the said study. The gathered data was organized, analyzed and
interpreted.
Research Respondents
The respondents of the study are selected forty (40) college students with different gender
and age who were officially enrolled in year 2018-2019 at GenSantos Foundation College Inc.
they are chosen randomly representing the entire population of the school.

The research was conducted at GenSantos Foundation College Inc. this is a private

The researcher uses weighted mean and frequency distribution and percentage to
determine the value of extra-curricular to student’s mental and physical condition. Pearson-
