General Objectives
The main objective of this study is to come up with Computerized Library System with
QR Code technology for Students / Faculty in CMDI Bay Campus. The proponents
would like to enhance by means of using QR Code to reduce paper works and
convenience for both librarian and students.

Specific Objectives

To be able to design a system that will:

1. Access information effectively and efficiently.

2. Generate report.
3. Security of the book.
4. Search the book needed by the students/faculty/visitors.
5. Can detect the book if borrowed.
Software Description

The current library system Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) of CMDI Bay
Campus generate standardized reports such as list of borrows, list of new books, list of
delinquent borrowers and other periodically and start to end date of report and other
options can be included. This system will held the librarian create reports that are
required by school. To create a security and model in audit trail.

The proposed system will improved the record keeping process of their current system
by having security measures and database that will accommodate all the transactions
inside the library. An audit trail will be used to track borrowed books of a students and
faculty. Having a computerized system in borrowing and returning, searching of books.
It is easier and more convenient for the user to find a certain book title by using QR
Code.

The Library System with QR code contain modules that generally described as follows
Computerized cataloguing – A database might allow searching by multiple means. For
example, in the case of a library database, that would include searching by any word, by subject,
by title, by author, by date, etc. OPAC (online public access catalog): A library's computerized
catalog.

Inventory reporting- An inventory report is a summary of items belonging to a business,

industry, organization, or home. It provides a comprehensive account of the stock or
supply of various items. They can be written in various forms and lengths. A good
inventory report should always be clear, simple, and exhaustive.
Serials control - Serials and their control. Because serials are ongoing, they have
special needs for control and for the recording of holdings. Catalogers may or may not
be actively involved with these additional aspects of control. 1.5.1. Check-in and holding
records.

Internet searching - Library resources are paid for with your tuition and fees, so take
advantage of it. Libraries provide free access to scholarly books, journals, newspapers,
encyclopedias, and other print reference sources. A lot of information on the Internet is
FREE, except scholarly materials

BAR CODING- A barcode system is a network of hardware and software, consisting

primarily of mobile computers, printers, handheld scanners, infrastructure, and
supporting software. Barcode systems are used to automate data collection where hand
recording is either timely or cost effective.

On-line Database – large storage that connected to the network that stores collection
of online resources including journal articles, collection of abstracts, newspaper articles,
books and maps.

Photocopying - The Library provides self-service photocopiers for the convenience of its
users (see the Library's Photocopying services page). ... However, photocopying of "in
copyright" items will usually have to be done under either fair dealing for private study or
research
