RESEARCH POSTER PRESENTATION EVALUATION RUBRICS

CATEGORIES:

1. RESEARCH CONTENT- 50%

a. Research addresses an essential issue in the field of study, includes goals/motivating


questions that provide the audience with a sense of the project’s principal idea.
b. Information is accurate and includes an explanation of fundamental concepts and theories,
as well as a clear description of the results and the importance of the results.
c. Applications of the theory are included to illuminate issues.
d. The content is clearly and concisely written with a logical progression of ideas and supporting
information.
e. The poster has a logical, intuitive sequence of information.
f. Cues to all information are clear and direct.

2. POSTER DESIGN- 30%


a. The poster is attractive regarding design, layout, and neatness.
b. Graphics are easily viewed and related to the topic, making the material easy to understand.
c. Fonts are easy-to-read and vary appropriately for headings and text. Use of italics, bold and
indentions enhance readability.
d. The text is appropriate in length for an audience and to the point of the project.
e. Background and color choice enhance readability.
f. There are no grammatical/spelling mistakes.

3. VERBAL INTERACTION- 20%


a. Presenter/s demonstrates full knowledge of the material and can explain and elaborate on
expected questions.

Note:
 The research poster will be evaluated before the scheduled conference. The Oral
Presentation of the poster will be assessed during the actual conference itself.

RESEARCH POSTER GUIDELINES AND INSTRUCTIONS:

 Poster Presentation is open to all student-researchers who wish to join.


 The tarpaulin must demonstrate the following parts: Title of the study, Abstract,
Background of the Study, Methodology, Findings, Conclusions and Recommendations and
the Proponent/s of the study.
 Poster Orientation should be portrait layout
 Size: (3 ft width X 5 ft height)
 Title: large title (80 to 90 point)
 Authors: (50 to 60 point)
 Affiliations: (45 to 55 point)
 Headings: (40 to 50 point)
 Text: (30 to 40 point)
 Use figures and tables to present results
 Follow outline of abstract (Introduction, Methods, Result, Conclusion)
 Send first the soft copy of the layout poster/ tarpaulin for checking before printing at
ado@uz.edu.ph
 Print your poster in good time and bring it to our office before March 14, 2018.
 Respective panelists will evaluate and judge the different posters with specified criteria.
