Seminar 2: Technical Writing Class

This activity tackle on how to write an effective and right resume and curriculum
vitae. One of the differences between resumes and CV are their length. CV is
much longer than the resume, it contains 2-3 pages of paper while resumes only
needs 1 page of a paper. I learned that CV summary is a way to quickly and
concisely convey one’s skills and qualifications. Sometimes large organizations
will initially ask for a one-page CV summary when they expect a large pool of
applicants. CV needs to include your curriculum vitae should include your name,
contact information, education, skills, and experience. While a resume resume
provides a summary of your education, work history, credentials, and other
accomplishments and skills. Both of them can be use in job applications.

Now that I know the difference of the two and what are the information that I
need to put in, I can easily make my own. Especially it’s a big help for us
upcoming college students.
