favorite spare-time activities. Not like most of my friends who love fashionable music, I
love listening to traditional one. And I am going to talk about one of the best singers in
my country for this music type.

His name is Dan Truong, and he has been singing for almost 20 years. I do remember
the first time I heard his voice when I was at secondary school, and I was totally amazed
by his voice; then I started listening to his records. it can be said that he is one of the
greatest singer in our entertainment industry. He has released over 20 albums and gained
many different type of music awards.

In fact, he is well-known for not only his voice, also his personal traits. And this is also
the reason why I like him very much. Very different from other young singers who are
famous by creating insane scandals, he has very quite life and I’ve never heard about
any scandals related to him.
However, the best thing about him is his kindness. Every year, he spends a lot money for
supporting people with disability, people in need and he does not treat this as a personal
PR strategy like other celebrities
It is a big pity that I have got any chances to meet him in the real life. He comes from
South of Vietnam and most of his shows are held down there. Well, sometimes he has
shows in Hanoi, but, you know, he is the top so it is not cheap at all to get a ticket for his
live performance.
Inclusion: I have been listening to his music for almost 10 years, but never ever got fed
up with it. I am planning to have a trip down to HCM city in the next month, and I hope

As I mentioned, it belongs to the State so everyone can have access to its facilities and
services. All people need to do is that signing in the member registration form, then they
will be given a card for entry permission.
During the semester time, I often spend my free time in there so that I can do my
assignment and prepare for the exams as well. You know, it is a huge library so I can
find most of the books I need to complete my study tasks.
Beside the good aspects I have mentioned above, free membership for student would be

(8). Something you have made by your self

You should say: what the thing was
How you made it
Why you made it
Whether you still have this thing today.
Q1 Birthday party of my girl friend. Was in Australia, I was in VN. Really wanted to make sth
special for hers. Jump in google for ideas. After couple days, decided to make a box of
paper stars
Q2 Was hard coz had never made any handmade product before. Looked at youtube and
followed step by step.
Go to convenience shop for materials: colorful paper
Not hard but does take time. My plan was make a box with full of tiny stars.
Was busy at work during daytime, just available for night time. It took 2 months with
1000 beautiful star in the box
Q3 Coz loved her very much, Wanted to make a special thing on her birthday.
Then gave to my boss, he’s an Australian, to post my gift to her
Bad luck that it came to her 2 days after her birthday. However, she was very happy when
saw my gift
Q4 Not sure coz we broke up. But believe that she still keeps somewhere else and I have
never asked about it
Section 7. Others
Describe a wild animal that can be found in your country.
You should say: what the animal is
Where it can be found
How people in your country feel about it
Whether you have seen it
Introduction: when was young, parents took me to local zoo as a gift for my birthday. In my
place, going to zoo is the only option for seeing the real wild animals. I had chance to see many
different types of animals with my own eyes and it was a fascinating experience. My favorite
animal is elephant
Q1 Elephant, the biggest inland animals. But not dangerous, pretty friendly. In fact, some
highland city use elephants for tourism purpose/development like in Lam Dong, Dak Lak,
visitors can ride a big elephant for their trip. Would be fascinating experience.
Q2 Most population of elephants are living in highland in Southern region of Vietnam. Hardly
to see in Northern Region, perhaps elephants prefer the Southern climate rather than the
Northern.
Q3 In the past, locals used to see them cross the road when they were working on farm. But it
rarely happens nowadays. Personally, I think there are 2 main reasons for shrinking their
population. (1) people destroy their house, cut off tree, burn up forest for development. (2)
some rich people have strange hobby, they are willing to pay heaps of money to own
elephant’s tusk/ivory for decorative purpose. As a result, many people hunt/kill this lovely
and friendly animal for $. Even those activities are totally banned in Vietnam, it still
happens. In the last decade, people did not pay much attention toward wild life protection.
However, community and government are now paying much more attention for this issue.
Local media agencies have been releasing many campaigns to raise awareness within local
community in order to prevent this piece from extinction.
Q4 I have seen this piece in zoo, but not in the wild life. In fact, our family is planning to have
a vacation in the South next summer. I hope that we could have a good trip as we planned
and I can have chance to ride a elephant during the trip

(2) An Environmental problem

Describe an environmental problem in your country
You should say: What the problem is
Whether it is serious
What causes this problem
How it can be solved.
Introduction: I believe that all countries in the world have problems related to
environment, and Vietnam is not an exceptional. Vietnam has been facing to many
different environmental issues such as raising sea level, climate change, water and
air pollution. One of the outstanding problems in VN now is air polluted in big
cities.
Q1 Look at the size of population and population density, number of vehicles in use
> easy to understand why air pollution is an urgent environmental problem.
Q2 Even it is not bad as in Beijing, China or in Indian capital, local authorities
should take action soon; otherwise, one day, could be too hard to control the
situation. Look at people on the roads with mask fully covering up their face,
we can recognize how polluted the air is.
Q3 Constructions: roads and building constructions. Without having a strategic
plan for development, they build roads > change plan > re-build..
Vehicle emissions: positive correlation between number of vehicle and size of
city population
Q4 Local authorities have started concerned about this prob.
There are many different solutions: plant more trees so that they can absorb
carbon dioxide (CO2), reduce number of Vehicle, create more job opportunities
in surrounding areas so people don’t need to live to work.
My favorite is developing public transportation: increase number of buses,
upgrade quality, build up overhead train system so that can reduce number of
private vehicle. This will not only address to air pollution issues, also to traffic
jam problem as well.
(4). An ideal job
Describe your idea of an ideal job
You should say: what the job is
Why you would like to do this job
Whether it would be easy to do this job
Whether it would be easy to find a job like this

Introduction: Currently, I am on the last year at University and my degree is supposed to be

completed by the end of this year. After that I would love to apply for an international company;
because, working in an international environment is my biggest dream, also an ideal job
opportunity.
Q1 My major at University is accounting > would love to work as an account in finance
department of a foreign company after graduation.
Q2 Many different reasons: (1) good pay/ benefit package so that I can afford for my own
life in such an expensive city like HN. (2) love English, can speaking > could be an
advantage in comparison with others. If I can get this job, can have chance to improve
my English, and understand about multi-culture environment, (3) love travelling
abroad/overseas, will be more likely to have chance for overseas travelling on business or
vacation when I work for an international organization
Q3 Believe that it is not only an ideal job for me, for most students after graduation. Means
so competitive/ very challenging to be the chosen candidate. However, doesn’t mean that
it is not possible. Those days, I am studying IELTS coz I believe that when I have good
score for IELTS, could be big advantage for application
Q4 Vietnam is opening-policy now, and this change has been facilitating international
organizations come to invest/ operate in Vietnam. This new trend has brought more
opportunities for the young. I mean that opportunities are always opening, but not easy
to achieve them. I can say that chance for working in international environment is
always available, but how to get through the door is a long process.
(6). Type of clothes
Describe the type of clothes you like wearing
You should say: what type of clothes you like
Why you like them
Where you buy them
Whether these clothes are popular in your country.
Introduction: not a big fan of fashion, and don’t care much about clothes. However, I do love
wear traditional clothes on special occasions such as wedding party, Tet holiday and graduation
ceremony. Among traditional clothes, my best favorite is AO DAI, expatriates call it Vietnamese
long dress.
Q1 Not well understand about this clothes’ story; it is 100% made from nature silk and with
beautify embroideries on it.
Q2 I love our own culture, do love special things which are called cultural heritages.
This clothes is very unique, beautiful. When Vietnamese women get on, it makes them
look more pretty or sexy.
Q3 As I mentioned, this clothes are made from silk and come with handmade embroidery >
quite expensive. Most people in Vietnam prefer hiring them from the traditional shops;
therefore, they can save money, also can easy change color every time.
Many traditional clothes shops offer this service; however, you can buy this clothes from
the shops as well. Believe that it would be pretty costly.
Q4 Ao Dai belongs to Vietnamese culture’s heritage. Not only is it famous in Vietnam, also
all over the world.
In most tourism campaign, image of Vietnamese women in Ao Dai is used as a national
symbol of Vietnamese culture.
If you have a chance to visit Literature temple, the first university of Vietnam, during
September, time for graduation ceremony: many of female students in Ao dai taking photo
for their special occasion> you can understand how common and important Ao dai is in
our country.
Other 10: Something good about your personality
Describe something good about your personality
You should say: what this thing is
Why you think it is good
How it influences your life
Whether other people would agree that this is a good thing
Q1 One of my favorite quotes is “success is made from 1% of inspiration, 99% of
perspiration”; regardless of how talented/smart/intelligent you are, you cannot
gain significant achievement without hard-working. And I believe that hard-
working is one of the good personality traits that I am so proud of.
Q2 When I was little kid, I did not have any perception/ideas about hard-working.
But/yet I studied very hard coz parents knew very well how to encourage their
kid. Then I grew up, and I understood that there is gift coming from the sky; if
we want to own/achieve something, we need to work to get it. From that
thought, I have motivated myself to work harder and harder.
Absolutely/no doubt that hard-working is key for success. I have read many
books about famous people such as Steven Job, Bill Gates…they have different
background, different way to make outstanding contribution to the humankind
development; But they have some common, and the most significant one is
hard-working.
When I read those books, I often look back at my academic achievement and I
recognize that I have put many efforts to gain admirable achievements
Q3 I am the last-year student and will join in work place very soon. Not only does
hard-working trait bring me success at School, also at work place, I believe so.
Q4 In fact, most of people agree that people cannot gain success without pouring
serious efforts on what they are doing. Unfortunately, not many people can do
it.
Take my friend as an illustration, he is a smart guy but he could not succeed in
learning English. He also understands the reasons why he could not do it:
without hard-working. It has been 3 years already, but he now could speaking
much……
Other 12: An important invention
Describe an important invention before the age of computers
You should say: what the invention is
How it has changed people’s lives
Why you think it is important
Whether it is still used today

Q1 TV: Believe that it is one of the most essential inventions to humankind/ human
beings revolution. In fact, TV was invented in 1920s in England.
Q2 After being invented, it was a kind of luxurious product at that time and just
few families could afford it.
Q3 I do remember when I was a little boy, about 20 years ago, there were some
Q4 wealthy families in my village had back and white TV. It was very expensive
stuff at that time. Due to now power available at that time, people used battery
to run the TV.
Thanks for the development of technology, now we have color TV with
amazing image quality and affordable price. I believe that this invention has
changed people’s lives in my country very much. This brings people more
options for entertainment, information.
TV nowadays is more attractive than ever before. TV channels offer people
many types of program for all audiences from kids to the elderly. On one hand,
TV has made people’s lives more enjoyable, relaxed; on the other hand, it has
also had some negative effect on our lives.
Let’s take the way people spend their free time as an illustration for above
statement. Most people including kids and adults like spend their spare time for
watching TV instead of spending time with family, friends. This trend makes
people loose communication skills and social interaction.
Anyway, I believe that everything comes at a price and I don’t expect the
fancy/perfect things. Absolutely, TV invention has significantly contributed to
the humankind revolution.
Other 13: A form of public transport
Describe your favorite form of public transport.
You should say: what type of transport it is
How often you use it
Why it is your favorite
Whether it is popular in your country
Q1 There are many type of public transportation in my place: train, taxi, bus and Xe
om, expatriates call motorbike taxi. Think this is available in VN only.
Among those, taxi is the most comfortable, but expensive. Student > cannot
afford it
My favorite type is bus, I often joke with my friend that I go to school by a
giant Limousine.
Q2 Most people in my place have their own private vehicle, I haven’t got it > use
Q3 bus everyday for school.
Sometimes, it is not convenient, but I like it. (1)pretty cheap in comparison with
other such as taxi, train or even private vehicle as well. Bus ticket has price
discrimination, and it offers students a good price, just 80,000 for a whole
month. (2) safe and enjoyable. Never heard about people get hurt when they are
in bus in my place, while it happens every day with other means. Sitting in bus
in cold, windy and rainy weather will be much better than having a private
motorbike.
Q4 Among public transport means, obviously bus is the most popular one in my
place with the highest passengers.
However, it does not mean that bus is the best public transportation in my place.
In fact, it has some problem: poor service, sexual harassment, pocket picker
issues…
Local authorities is working on it, coz they understand that bus is a crucial
public transportation. And if they want to solve traffic jam problems, improve
service, eliminate issues is the best way to fix/address/solve problem
Other 15. A Sporting event
Describe a sporting event that you have seen
You should say: what the event was
Where and when you saw it
What you liked about it
Whether you would like to watch this type of event again
I am a big fan of sport, and often participate in those event organized by
University.
I would like to talk about the annual sport event last year at my University on
Youth Union foundation ceremony in March. To celebrate the day of Youth
Union foundation, my School often holds sport competition including football,
swimming, badminton.
Normally, weather in March is pretty cool; however, last year, it was different:
pretty cold and little bit rainy. I went to event to support my best friend who
participated in swimming tournament.
The competition was very well organized, many people attended to support their
friends who took a part of the game regardless of cold weather.
I and some classmates prepared a big banner to cheer up my friend who
participated in 2 tournaments: free-style and butterfly style.
Before the game started, we had thought that athletes could not perform as well
as they could due to the bad weather. However, when the game started, weather
did not affect any at all, their performances were still very amazing.
Even my friend did not win the game, we still had very enjoyable time.
Absolutely, it is worth to join in such a great event like this.
As I mentioned, this even is an annual school activity and it is held every year on
26th of March. I am graduation soon, and I think the last year event could be the
last I participated. This is organized by school, but it opens for everyone, not
limited to students. However, I am afraid that when I join in workplace, I will
not have enough time for this anymore
Type 1: Comparison
1. Are schools nowadays the same as schools in the past?
Number of schools and size: in the past, most of schools have couple small building.
However, clearly that now we have more schools with high and modern building. It’s
understandable when population is growing so fast and as a result the more people we have,
the more schools we need to build up.
Nevertheless, I reckon the most significant distinction here is availability of high technology
equipment at school. During my parent generation, they had no internet, no computers or
projectors at school; yet/but now, we do have. Most schools are equipped with basic
technology products such as lab room, internet availability, projectors in classrooms.
2. Are TV program nowadays the same as TV program in the past?
In the past, TV used to be a kind of luxurious durable good at households, and perhaps with
this limit, there were not many options for audiences. However, in the 21st century, it is not
anymore. It can be said that 100% of household in HN has TV, and most families in rural
areas own this stuff at home. Those changes have brought many benefits for TV station. In
return, they also offer a wide range of options to audiences. People can watch film, news, TV
shows, cartoon..
The second point I would like to point out here is the frequency of commercial advertisement.
We totally understand the TV service provider can survive and develop based on money they
get for advertisement. However, they put to many commercial Ads during TV show, which
make audiences tired.
Most interesting change to me is availability of international channel such HBO, Discovery
channel which are favorite channel >> learning English, Enjoy international comedy..
3. Are free time activities nowadays the same as 20 years ago in your country?
20 years, a gap between 2 generations. Everything has been changed since the last 20 years,
and the way people spend their free time is not exceptional.
20 years ago, there was no internet, no computer, TV was in scarcity; people used to spend
their free time for gardening, talking to their neighbors.
And 20 years later, in 21 century, people have a wide range of options to consume their free
time. They can stay inside for watching TV, surfing the internet or playing game. when they
get bored with indoor activities, they can hang out for cafe, cinema which they could not do
in the past.
This change has offered people for options to have a better entertainment time. However, this
comes at a price. People are getting lazy for taking/ participating in outdoor activities as they
used to do; they love spending their time with computers, TV, smart phone. As a result, the
concern about obesity, loosing socializing and communication skills is raising for the youth.
4. Do old and young people like the same hobbies?
There is no doubt that when people grow up, not only do they change in terms of physical
appearance, also their thoughts, their hobbies. Even for myself, sometimes I look backwards
and easy to recognize big changes in my personal hobbies.
For the young, they love active and adventurous activities such as play soccer, going to Gym,
climbing up mountains. In contrast, the elderly often take slow and gentle activities as their
hobbies like jogging, doing yoga.
Well, I think the cause for this difference is ageing issue. When people get old, they are
loosing their physical strength, which leads to the changes in their hobbies.
However, the most interesting distinction I have found from my own observation is that the
old do not have many hobbies related to technology, while the young does.
5. What is the difference between things made by hands and things made by machines?
The first difference I would like to mention is the price. Handmade products are often more
expensive than products made my machines. Some people consider that quality of handmade
is better than being made by machine with the same product and this is the reason for offering
high price. Personally, I am not really favorable for this point of view. Perhaps handmade
products often in scarcity; based on demand and supply law, anything with high demand and
low supply shall be put at high price and it fits for this case. No doubt that productivity of
machines is much higher than people.
You cannot make a special order if that products are produced by machinery production line.
Good made by machines is totally identical; meanwhile, handmade is not. Perhaps, because
of this reason, most people in my city love picking a handmade product as a special gift for
their friends by make a special order to the handmade product suppliers.
Type 2: Predicting
1. What will shopping habits be like in the future?
Well, I guess that shopping habits shall be changed pretty much in the future.
The first change coming up in my mind is about the trend for shopping in super market
instead of outdoor/ traditional markets. In fact, this change has happened already but not
really well recognized. People will love shopping in super markets; because, they will know
all information about the background of food and vegetables on shelves, which cannot be
known in outdoor markets. In addition, shopping in supermarket is more comfortable and
convenient as well. They offer customers more options, and stuffs on shelves are very well-
organized.
Also, I believe that the development of technology and internet shall have a significant
influence on the way people go for shopping. In developed countries, shopping online is
very common; meantime, in Vietnam not many people feel comfortable with this. Currently,
the young who love new experience are ready for this. However/ nevertheless, I guess/
reckon in the near future, there will be more and more online stores and people get used to
these new shopping habits.
2. What will public transport be like in the future?
The first change I guess/think/reckon that overhead public transport service shall be
available. As far as I know, local authorities have a plan for developing overhead train
system and it is under progress for approval from Government prime minister and president.
When this plan is approved, I believe that citizens shall be very excited and favor for this
decision; because, we have not got overhead public transport service yet.
Currently, big cities in Vietnam have been facing a lot of problems with traffic, and
everyone knows that those issues can be addressed only when local government improves
quality of public transport services. It is the reason why I guess in the coming time,
government shall put more effort on upgrading quality of public transport to encourage
people using those vehicles instead of private one. As a result, I guess there will be more
buses, trains with good quality of service and number of private vehicles shall be reduced.
3. What kinds of skills will become important in the future?
There is no doubt that our lives are being driven by technology development. I believe that
many people shall agree with me that computer skill would be one of the most important
skills for us in the future. In fact, people working in office spend most of their time with
computer and basically their work cannot be completed with computer. In the near future, I
guess that most employers would put this skill on the top of required skills for recruitment
advertisement.
Another thing comes up in my thought is about foreign language skills. The global
integration mainstream is obvious now and the links among national economies is getting
stronger than ever before. Let imagine that how we could conduct international business
transaction without being able to communicate in an official international language. I
believe that political and physical boundary among countries are in permanent existence;
however, commercial border will be removed in the future and all enterprises from different
nations would be free for conduct their operations. And when it happens in the future,
foreign language skill will become the top essential skill people need.
4. What environmental problems will we see in the future?
It is well recognized that we are now facing to many problems related to environments such
as sea water level raising, global warming. Even many governments has been taking actions
to address those issues, those efforts are not enough.
In the future, I guess we will see the same environmental problems but totally at different
level of seriousness. Just make a quick comparison between 19th century and 20th century to
see the difference among those problems, it would be easy to recognize that those problems
were getting worse. During the 21st, I reckon that there would be more issues happening to
our lives.
Among those issues, I reckon global warming would be the most significant environmental
problem. Temperature of our planet is rising and as a result, we are loosing land for
agriculture/development due to raising of sea water level. I guess it will be getting colder in
the winter, and hotter during summer. If governments and their citizen do not take action
soon on those issues, perhaps one day in the future, the scene referred in some science
fiction movies could visit our planet. If it happened, it would be a disaster for human beings.
5. Do you think we will read books in different ways in the future?
Technology change not only the way people work, also the way people entertain/ relax.
Reading electric books will be common when IT appliance become more affordable to most
people: smart phone, tablet, ebook readers: cheap, convenient than printed books……….
One day in the future, guess software which can read books would be invented. When it
happens, I think people will be lazy for reading……………
However, I do not mean that printed industry shall be dead. A part of population shall keep
the traditional reading habits. ………………………….
Type 3: Why questions
1. Why is it important to protect old/historical buildings?
When we look at the amount of money local government spending for preserve/protect and
maintain ancient/ old/ historical buildings, we can understand how important it is. From my
point of view, I reckon there are many reasons for this investment.
The first point I would like to mention here is about the culture reservation. Obviously,
ancient buildings are a part of local culture; through those building, the young can
understand how the life in the past looked like. Not only in Vietnam, I believe that in many
places in the world, national authorities pay attention to this issues.
In addition/additionally/ moreover, protect historical buildings is of the ways to attract
international visitors for tourism development purposes. Let take HN as an outstanding
illustration/example, international visitors/ expatriates/ foreigners are very curious for
exploring Vietnamese culture via visiting old building in Old Quarter. And as a result, Hanoi
Government will have more chance to promote Vietnam’s images for boost the local
economy
2. Why do so many people move from the countryside to cities?
Moving from countryside to big cities has been a mainstream for couple the last decades,
and this has become a global phenomenon. As far as I understand, I guess there are couple
reasons explaining this common trend.
First of all/ the most important reason/ the key explanation for this would be job
opportunities. Most of businesses, factory are located in big cities and this means that
moving for a city life shall bring more chance to get a job/ get employed for citizens. In
contrast, rural and countryside areas do not have many chances for getting a permanent job.
Another reason I reckon that education opportunities. In Vietnam, it is more likely to get a
good job with a university degree, and it is the reason why many young people are willing to
live far away from their home for education chance. Meanwhile, most of the best
universities are located in big cities. After completion of University, about 4 years, the
young would have been used to city life and they do not want to come back their home
towns, which lead to increase population of cities
3. Why is it important to protect the environment?
I believe that most people in the world have heard about some global environmental issues
such as raising sea level, global warming and so on. We are living in the same planet in the
same environment and our lives totally depends the environment we are living in. just
imagine that how humankinds/ human beings can survive if there is no Oxygen in the air.
Protect environment means that protect our self, save our life.
Perhaps, in the past century, people did not pay much attention towards environmental
problems. However, those problems have been well recognized since the last couple decades
when humankind has been facing more and more natural disaster as results from climate
changes due to our activities. Let take some horrible disasters such as Tsunami in Japan
2011, Storm in Philipin in 2014. I guess nowadays, everyone understands that if we are
keeping destroying our environment, one day in the future, there would be no place for our
life.
4. Why do many people want to live abroad?
Most people loving living in another country which has better living standard than their own
country for a better life: better education, health service…
Does not mean that there is no one from developed country love living in developing
country. Many expatriates come to Vietnam for working or vacation, then they fall in love
with such a beautiful country.
Very personally, I believe that people want to move to new country for a new life coz they
feel new destination is better than their own place.
5. Why is it important to play sports?
In the 21st century, people are loosing physical contact and getting lazy for
taking/participating/ joining outdoor activities as they used to in the past due to the
development of high technology which offers people many attractive indoor activities. More
than ever before, people should join in some sport to keep their life balanced and have a
healthy life style.
The first reason I would like to mention here is playing sport helps people have a good
shape in term of physical health. Obviously, it cannot be said that people have a healthy life
without taking physical exercises. Most people spend most business/working hours front of
computer; therefore, they do lack of exercise to keep their physical body balanced. And
playing some sports shall be good for them to have more physical movement to keep their
body fit.
Not only for health reason, spending free time for sports shall bring you chance to meet new
people and socialize……
Type 6-7: Causes and solutions
1. What are the problems associated with the internet?
There is no doubt that internet has changed our lives pretty much; it has been making
our life more convenient, enjoyable. However, with the wide availability of internet also
brings some problems to our daily life.
The first point I would like to refer is that the consequences of assessing inappropriate
websites among young people. In 21st, most families have computers at home and their
kids can use for both study and relax/ entertainment purposes. It sounds great if they use
availability of internet in appropriate manners. Unfortunately, kids sometimes do not
fully understand about which one is good or bad for them, and they are instinctively
curious about everything regardless of bad or good things. It would be a big problem for
parents if their kids watch sex or violent movies and they have misbehavior in the real
life. In fact, there have been some cases like this in my community when a teenager got
pregnant with her boyfriend..
Second: physical problem for people who are addicted with online games. Take my
friend as an illustration/ example, he has lost his job, his family due to game addiction.
There are more and more people are suffered some diseases related to obesity. Lazy for
taking outdoor activities is one of key factors contributing to this issue. They prefer
using their free / spare/ relax/ entertainment time for sitting front of computer rather than
participating outdoor sports as they used to do
Solution:
As everything in the world, internet has both negative and positive effects. Personal I
reckon/ believe that those drawbacks can be eliminated.
Should set up some access restriction on their kids’ computers or limit time to use so
they can control everything…
Also educate their kids how to use internet in an effective manner/ encourage for taking
outdoor activities
Can check access history to find out their kids’ interested website to take control

2. Problems are caused by international tourism

Problems:
There is no doubt that the development of international tourism has brought many
benefits to local economy such as create more employment opportunities, increase
income for local government’s budgets. However, it does come at a price.
The first issue I would like to mention here is pollution. It is totally understandable when
more people come to tourist destinations, the more goods and service shall be consumed,
and as a result, the amount of waste will increase, which are the cause of this issues.
This problem is well-recognized in many tourist attractions in Vietnam when rubbish is
every corners and local government has not found the solutions yet. Absolutely, this
negative effect shall contribute to destroy the habitat of local areas.
In addition, I guess the changes in living cost could be another problem. Normally,
international visitors are willing to pay for goods and services at a higher price even they
know that. This make price of goods and service go up and obviously that the locals may
also have to pay at a higher price as it should be.
Solutions:
Pollution: provide more rubbish bin/ recycle bin/ rubbish trash so that people don’t litter
waste anymore. Raise awareness of local businesses/ enterprises/ companies to pay
attention about protect environment to have a sustainable development. Could give a
fine for anyone who do not drop rubbish into the provide trashes.
Living costs: local businesses should use local people for their operation so that local
can have good pay to earn their life. Local government can make legal document to
encourage local firms to use local human resources

3. What problems are associated with overcrowded cities?

The mainstream/trend that people from countryside move to cities for their living is very
common in the 21st century, which is called urbanization. Most people decide to move to
cities with a hope of having a good job, better life. Agree that this brings chance to
people; however, this can cause some problems for cities.
Pollution and traffic jams: development of infrastructure is not as fast as pace of
urbanization > lack of accommodation, public transports, health service….create chaos
for cities
