o Get just one more simple action or sound.
o Done with the activity? Putting an object away can be a turn!

When to Try…
 During meal times. Give a choice and then use wait time.
 During play time. Putting some toys out of sight will encourage longer focus time, or try
for just one more turn when a game seems to be done.
 During routines such as bath time or getting dressed. Model simple words for actions
and items used during this time.
 Any other routine that is familiar to your family!
