This is one of the major categorisation of restaurants in the present day market scenario and also this is
the first parameter that every customer sees in name board of restaurant. We learnt that majority of the
people we surveyed were Non-vegetarians i.e 65% of the people in the survey were Non-vegetarians and
35% of them were vegetarians.

1) How frequently do you visit restaurants?

We were eager to know how frequently people use to visit restaurants.45% of the people we surveyed,
visits a restaurant once or twice in a week. 41% of people visits a restaurant once or twice in a month. 7%
of people are visiting a restaurant daily and other 7% visits very rarely.

2) When will you mostly prefer to eat in restaurants?

Breakfast, Lunch and dinner are usually served in restaurants. So we asked for which is mostly preferred
among the three. 69 out of 140 people preferred to visit a restaurant for dinner,37 preferred to have lunch
and14 preferred to have dinner.

 3) Where do you visit most?
The restaurants can be located near to your home or in the cities or in shopping malls. Nearly half of the
people i.e 52% of the people we surveyed, wish to visit a hotel in the city. 37% of people eats in a
restaurant nearby their home and 11% of the people wish to visit food courts in shopping mall.

5) Do you like to visit only your regular restaurants?

41% of the people responded that they do not wish to change their restaurants. 59% of the people wishes

Half the number in survey is looking for the good taste of the food followed by hygiene , cost and
service. So if we start a restaurant we should provide the food with good taste.

Almost three fourth of them like to eat and pay type restaurants. Restaurant which we start should be

Some of the people still not satisfied with the food provided in the restaurant are not hygienic, so the
food provided in our restaurant should be very hygienic also the environment should be very clean
also the plates and cups provided should be cleaned properly.

10) Rate our college canteen

The response we got from them is very bad. Almost all the people says that our college canteen is
bad and worst. It is because the taste of food in our college canteen is bad and also the food provided
is not worth for the money they buy. The taste and the pricing of our canteen should be changed to
attract the people also different variety of foods and snacks should be provided in the canteen.

Conclusion
From the survey we can come to a conclusion that the restaurant should be provided
with following options are:
1. Non vegetarian cum Vegetarian AC restaurant
2. More items should be included in lunch and dinner
3. Restaurants should be mostly located in cities
4. Eat and Pay type on all days, Buffet type on holidays and Friday
5. Advertisements via media and social networking
6. Multi cusines.
