They are ghen the option to select one from among the three NSTP components that they feel would help them bulld thelr Personality and enhance their sense of patriotism as required in the NSTP course. Zhe three components are: a) Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS), which refers to the pragram component or activities Contributory to the general welfare and the betterment of life for the members of the community or the envichment of the facilities, especially those devoted to improving health, education, environment, entrepreneurship, safety, recreation and morele of etizanay and other social welfare services; b, Literacy Training Service (LTS), refers to the program component designed to train the ctudencs fo teach Iteracy and numeracy skis to schoolchildren, out-of-school youths, other sectors of the society in need of ther services, anu. Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC), which refers to the program component insitutionalized under Section 38 and 99 of Recullc Ret No, 7077, designed to provide military training to tertiary level students in order to motivate, train, organize and mobilize them for national defense preparedness, Al this information wil be fully explained to you bythe University NSTP Director and the College NSTP Coordinators during the NSTP Orientation Program scheduled at your respective Colleges to guide you inthe selection of the components.
