I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Davao is a city with so much potential; it is rapidly progressing every day. The market has
had a constant need for more ways of transportation especially in the lesser known parts of the
city that is soon to be developed further. There is a lack of transportation vehicles in the urban
areas of Davao that is far away from the heart of the city. Namely, Camella Homes in Mintal,
Davao City. The city is slowly becoming like the capital of the country, Manila: A city that never
sleeps. Due to this huge opportunity that has been laid before the very eyes of the proponents
of the business, the owner, Mr. Karl Matthew Reales has decided to venture into a business for
the transportation industry. Reales’ Toktok Rentals is taking advantage of the lack of
transportation vehicles in Camella Homes, Mintal and will be providing a mode of transportation
for the residents of Camella Homes. By giving the residents a comfortable and affordable mode
of transportation in a place where there is none, the business will surely thrive.
The target markets of the business are the drivers who want to make a living in Camella
Homes by giving the residents of Camella Homes a convenient mode of transportation. The
business, as stated briefly earlier, will be renting out the toktok cabs to willing drivers to cater the
needs of the residents of Camella Homes.
For the business’ marketing strategy, the business will give out print ads and spread the
word via social media to encourage potential drivers into becoming full time renters of the toktok
cabs.
As Davao is already teeming with different kinds of automobiles for transportation, the main
rival of the toktok cabs in the industry are the tricycles. These vehicles are already known and
familiar to all davaoenos. But as the toktok cab is new, people will be curious and will be
encouraged to try riding it. And when they do, these commuters will definitely see the
advantages and the edges that riding a toktok cab can have. A toktok cabs is comfortable and
affordable enough to attract customers. These cabs are also environmentally friendly and do not
emit as much smoke as a tricycle which is a huge advantage for the commuters as they do not
have to breathe in the smoke coming out from a tricycle.
This table shows the income trajectory of the business. The proponents are sure that without
major anomalies of any sort, the business will run smoothly and will generate income for the
owner and the potential investors. And because the business is in the transportation industry,
the potential for the business is virtually limitless. The growth of the business can come from
many aspects as it is an industry that is both flexible and ever changing.

have to pay would amount to Php 350 a day per driver. Mainly, it is a business in the
transportation industry and the business’ main service to be given is through the eco-friendly

VISION
To be the leading toktok rental business in the whole Philippines and to deliver a service

The Reales’ Toktok Rentals mission is to provide a safe mode of transportation to the
community of Camella Homes Subdivision. Which people can look to as a convenient and
viable transport alternative to other transportation services. The business will serve as exclusive
means of transportation in the Camella community.
GOALS
Provide a safe transportation system.
Provide an accessible transportation system that fit within the context of its surroundings
and preserve community character.
Consider and establish a transportation that is eco-friendly.
Encourage residence with no income to work for a living.
Introduce an affordable rental of cabs.
Establish a transportation in-line to the values and vision of the subdivision.
Since transportation businesses are almost similar with each other, the business should
add something new in order to be different. It is very important to be innovative because it is one
of the ways to be unique from the competitors. For example, “Reales’ toktok rentals” utilizes
toktok cabs in order to lessen the noise, smoke, and be eco-friendly. In transportation industry
these things should be considered such as innovation of technology, environment, and
government policies. These are the factors that greatly affects the business.

Before starting up a transportation business, the entity must first choose which mode of
transportation to utilize for the business because this industry has a very wide coverage. It is
always on demand, but it does not mean that the businesses in this industry has a lot of
customers. The business should also know the idea of targeting and segmentation because this
will help in making a strategic plan. The business should also be able to identify the advantages
and threats in this industry. It is also important to consider the competitors and to think of ways

Rivalry Among Existing Firms
The existing rivals for the business, Reales’ Toktok
Rentals are the tricycles. Familiar to everyone from the city
even from our target market. These tricycles are the
closest competitor the business has because they are
almost the same. But, the toktok cabs still has a few
advantages that make it one of a kind. The business is still
unique in a way that these factors would not be a major
threat to the success and enlargement of the business. The
entity will establish an exclusive service of toktok cabs that
will be their main means of transportation in their
subdivision, Camella Homes, Mintal, Davao City. The
business will provide a way of transportation that is
affordable and comfortable.
PRICE
Reales’ Toktok Rentals is available for every driver who wants to rent and drive a more
convenient type of tricycle that can be used for their living. An estimated price of a normal
tricycle would cost Php 250-Php 500 per day. On the other hand, toktok cabs would cost Php
300-Php 600 per day. With this range of price, the business will be able to attract renters who
are searching for a more comfortable type of tricycle. Even though these cabs are a bit costlier,
it will be worth much more than the average tricycle because of the comfort that these cabs
bring. Since toktok cabs are new and not prevalent in Davao, the business can set a price that
will surely bring profit without being bothered by the prices of those normal tricycle rentals.
PLACE
The business, Reales’ Toktok Rentals will be located in Camella Homes, Mintal, Davao
City, along with other tricycle businesses on the community. The area that the business will use
for the terminal is 15 square meters. The space that the business will occupy is for the toktok
cab’s terminal. Camilla Homes is a subdivision that consists mostly of middle-class people. This
is an important factor for the business because it gives the company an assurance that potential
customers are willing to avail the toktok cab’s services. The location also lacks public
transportation services for the people in the subdivision which gives Reales’ Toktok Rentals a
good opportunity to firmly establish the business in the area.
PROMOTION
The Reales’ Toktok Rentals will use the push promotional strategy which will introduce the
company’s service as a new, efficient and eco-friendly form of transportation in the minds of the
public. The chosen strategy for its marketing campaign is through advertising and personal
selling. The service will be promoted through outdoor ads that will be distributed throughout the
subdivision using medium sized tarpaulins displaying important information about the company.
The contact information will also be included in the ad, which will allow interested drivers to
inquire further about the service. The personal selling strategy will be utilized after the business
has gathered a decent amount of interested drivers who are willing to rent our product, the
business will be giving them a chance to try the toktok cabs for a free trial within a day, with all
expenses like gas, paid by the business. The toktok cabs will be free for a day to the whole
community in Camella Homes for them to capture a glimpse on riding a toktok cab. Reales’
Toktok Rentals will ensure the safety and comfortability of the customers for the whole day free
ride. The business believes it could help in promoting the toktok cabs to the potential drivers
and passengers since the awareness of the cab service to the community will increase. Going
back, during this trial, a qualified supervisor assigned by the company will watch over the
drivers. At the same time, the supervisor is tasked to further persuade the drivers into availing
the business’ service.
RECORDER

BOOKKEEPER
ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
OWNER
BOOKKEEPER
RECORDER COLLECTOR
The structure of the business can be described as a customer-oriented and functional
structure. The owner of the company is in charge of managing the entire business and its
employees and customers. The collector is the one who will collects rent from the drivers. The
other employee is the recorder which will record all the transactions of the business. Lastly, the
bookkeeper who will record the transactions of the business for the financial statement. The
toktok drivers are the customers who rent our vehicles. Which is the main source of income for
the business.
OPERATION FLOWCHART
The operation of the business begins when all toktok cabs have been rented out to
designated drivers that have true credentials that the business requires. When the rent is due,
the collector that the business hired will collect the payments from the renters. If these drivers
cannot pay the toktok cabs will be retrieved and rented out to someone else. When the payment
is received, the recorder will write down the transactions to prepare them for the bookkeeper.
The bookkeeper only comes up once a month. The bookkeeper then records the transactions
and transforms them into understandable reports and financial statements for the business and
its potential investors’ benefit. Every month, the business will conduct a checking for damages.
If there any, repairs will be done and the toktok cabs will be rented out again and the cycle
repeats.
MANAGEMENT SHIFT SCHEDULE
In Reales' toktok rental the business will have 15 drivers for 15 cabs. Each driver will be
allowed to use the cab for the whole week, but they must still return the cab to the business at
the end of each day. The drivers may only use during 5:00am - 11:00pm. It depends on them if
they want to maximize their time on renting the cabs.
Aside from the driver, the business will also have a bookkeeper, collector, and the
recorder of all the transactions. The bookkeeper will only wait for the business' call once a
month, since the job of a bookkeeper is not needed everyday. Unlike the bookkeeper, the
collector and the recorder's job is really necessary from time to time. Because of this, they will
work Monday, Wednesday, and Friday every week.
