Cultural Globalization also has been occurring across the world, as time goes by Cultural

Globalization also plays a big role in our society. Bislig City, for example, Bislig is known for its
ecotourism especially for the magic tourist attraction of Bislig which is the Tinuy-an Falls, also
known as the little “Niagara Falls” of the Philippines and it is said to be the widest falls in the
Philippines. Tinuy-an Falls is like a beautiful white curtain that flows. Even us, Bisliganon’s were
so amazed even though it is in our place we just can’t help to be amused of the natural formation,
the amazing giant trees and the thick rainforest that surrounds, also give a spectacular view of a
beautiful natural creation. Tinuy-an Falls is one of the must visit destinations in our hometown and
also definitely known as the crown jewel of Surigao del Sur. I am inviting you Sir to go there
because I can really assure you that you’ll love it also. Every 17th of September we Bisliganon’s
celebrates the Tinuy-an Festival to pay tribute for the Tinuy-an Falls, in part of the celebration all
schools should cooperate and participate that they need to present their own Dance Presentation
that will portay the origin of Tinuy-an Falls, the said beliefs, the culture of Manobo, Mandaya, the
history of Bislig City and the story behind Tinuy-an Falls. The said Festival will showcase how
Bislagonon’s were so talented in prortaying how Bislig City were so rich in terms of cultural
dimension.

I can say that this is Political Globalization because I can say that Mangagoy, Bislig City
is a melting pot of different cultures. You can find Kamayos, Manobo, Mandaya and people from
different parts of the country who decide to stay in the bustling downtown of Mangagoy and Bislig.
This portrays what Political Globalization is, the differences and diverse cultures of the people that
stays in one community. In presenting each and everyone’s dance presentation it implicates how
my hometown, Mangoy, Bislig City is also rich in cultural aspect not only politically and
economically. Even though my hometown is like a small city but we have a lot of things to offer
that I as a Bislagonon should be proud of and not to be ashamed but to spread how my hometown
is also rich in different things. However, as the status of this Barangay can be categorized as sub-
urban and urbanization as well as globalization has been sluggish in this area, its cultural aspect
has received greater influence from the traditional and indigent sectors of the locality.
Nevertheless, one cannot say that the culture in Barangay Mangagoy is not shaped by outside
factors such as globalization.
