Based off the assessment, the class as a whole is struggling with the subject matter.

Our class
average on the assessment was a 67%, which is much lower than where we should be. Six out of
the sixteen students failed the assessment and there were only two who scored a 90% or above.
As a whole, addition was their strongest category scoring an average of 75% on the addition
problems. I think the entire class will benefit from reviewing the entire lesson again with a
special focus on subtraction and division.

Juan has excelled in all topics. He was the only student who scored a 100% on the assessment.
Hugh also did well. He got 100% of the addition problems correct and 80% of the subtraction,
but like the majority of the class he is still struggling with division. Similar to Hugh, Holly got
100% of the addition problems correct and 80% of the subtraction, but she only got 40% of the
division questions correct.

I am most concerned about Luke. He scored a 40% on the assessment and only answered 40% of
the questions correctly across the board. He will benefit from our class review of the lesson, but
I definitely need to meet with him one on one and figure out the best way we can turn this around
and I need provide him with some additional reinforcement after class. I also think Nathan and I
should meet one on one as he struggled a great deal with all 3 subject as well. There are a few
other students such a Carly, Claire, Molly, Kiara, Sarah, and Patrick who’s scores on the
assessment were 65% or below. They will definitely need reinforcement in specific topics, but I
am not as worried about them because they each have at least one of the topics mastered.
