Eskimos are hardly people who lived in the cold, Arctic lands of Greenland, North America
and Northeast Asia. Nowadays they like to be known as Inuits. Eskimos once wear only fur clothes.
Some lived in tents in summer and built snow homes called igloos for the winter. They made bows
and arrows and harpoons and hunted in skin boats and canoes called kayaks. Dogs pulled their
sledges. Many Eskimos no longer lead this kind of life. They now live and work in towns.
