• Lobbied congressional staff on legislation that would impact federal public lands in Alaska, specifically the Arctic
National Wildlife Refuge. Issues including:
o H.R. 1146 Arctic Cultural and Coastal Plain Protection Act
o Arctic Refuge Provision (Section 118) of H.R. 3055
o Tongass National Forest Amendment (136) to H.R. 3055
• Called congressional staff prior to votes on the House floor and updated the targeting list regarding their vote.
• Used Congress Plus to create and send out email blasts to targeted congressional staff, as well as to create contact
lists to schedule Hill meetings with congressional targets.
• Drafted social media posts and letters to thank legislators for their support on critical votes.
Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance (SUWA) Washington, DC

• Met with and educated congressional staff on legislation that would impact federal public lands in Utah’s Redrock
Wilderness while working closely with the Legislative Advocate. Issues including:
o H.R. 5727 Emery County Public Land Management Act
o H.R. 2044 America’s Red Rock Wilderness Act
o The status of Grand Staircase-Escalante and Bears Ears National Monuments
• Reported on relevant congressional hearings and markups in the House Committee on Natural Resources and
Senate Environment and Natural Resources Committee to the Legislative Director.
• Coordinated and conducted Hill-drops of educational materials to congressional offices.
• Compiled and edited the “Utah Wilderness News.” This is a daily news update of Utah’s federal public lands
distributed to SUWA members via Listserv.

WaterRoots Campaign Coordinator March 2019-May 2019
• Conducted outreach to include local business stakeholders in URC’s “2%” water conservation campaign.
• Researched the use of property taxes for water districts in the Western U.S. and their correlated bond ratings.
• Designed, edited, and contributed content to the newsletter produced by the Utah Rivers Council, “Waterlines.”
• Managed outreach and programming for events such as the annual Earth Day Brunch.
