Apolinario. Cezar Apolinario was produced during the time when the issue on
extrajudicial killings was already gaining traction in the local and international media.
These killings, associated with President Duterte’s tough campaign against drugs,
gained both support and criticisms from the Filipino Public. These deaths meant that
more dead bodies were left unclaimed in funeral homes. From a worker of a funeral
home tasked to collect causalities from police operations, to a mother who never
gave up in finding her missing loved one and police operatives who also suffered
causalities.
