Document Development Exposition: White Paper

ENGL 2116

Explain in detail your document’s development from planning to finish, describing your
challenges, how you overcame them, and what you learned.

Planning
I started planning by using the prep work that was required, and it helped me quite a lot. I used the
prep doc as a guideline, but now I just needed information. The challenges I face was finding out
what I had to write about and having the required word count. I found some of my solutions through
my Reaktion book, and the internet.

First Draft (for peer editing)

For my first draft I had half of my abstract finished, one problem paragraph, one solution paragraph,
and a conclusion. I did not know what to write about for the resolution because in my mind I thought
it was kind of redundant. In my paper, I did not really plan on having any images but only one in the
cover page. Most of what I write in the first draft had no sources, I wrote down what was all in my
head.

Second Draft (for your packet)

I started to find more problems on my topic, and used that research to fill in my blanks for the first
draft. After I wrote my problems and solutions, I jumped to my conclusion. I wrote my resolution
after finishing my conclusion. My table of contents, cover, and abstract were the last thing that I did.
I had trouble reaching the word count, I was out of idea and I started to just write what I
remembered from the Reaktion book.

Final Draft (for your portfolio)

I changed all the errors that was on my visual feedback, and look for other problems as well. I was
still confused on the resolution part of the paper, because I still think it feels redundant. I changed
the resolution a little to fit the theme for the solutions portion.
