Document Development Exposition: White Paper

Explain in detail your document’s development from planning to finish, describing your
challenges, how you overcame them, and what you learned.

Planning
The planning behind the white paper doc was to create a paper that brought up a problem and
proposed a solution to that. I had to think about how earthquakes impacted people and their lives. I
found articles with research done on earthquakes showing the effects of earthquakes.

First Draft (for peer editing)

After the peer editing I was told from my peers that I needed to add more pictures and headers to
enhance my paper. I was told that the paper sounded informal and could use a different approach.

Second Draft (for your packet)

I made changes to my paper by adding a headers and pictures. Added more information to make my
topic clear. I made sure that the paper was more formal since it is covering a serious topic.

Final Draft (for your portfolio)

A lot of the quotes I used didn’t have any reference to them and kind of were just put in to the
paragraph, so I added more detail. I also fixed the grammar issues and punctuation that was missing.
