Aquadrive

Hola Folks,

We all have studied a hell lot of energies and

mechanisms to use those energies into some useful
work. If you're one of those people, who have thought
of creating something innovative using this energy
mechanisms. then we have come up with the perfect
platform to showcase your ideas.

Aquadrive is the event that involves you to

fabricate your own boat and to propel it using any
energy source (exhaustible) and mechanism of your
choice. The vision is to provide you the freedom to use
your distinctive ideas under a single umbrella!!

Problem Statement:

There will be two rounds, in the first round

each team has to make a boat by using their own ideas
and the given stuff. Next round, will contain a task in
which your boat has to cross the track by overcoming
all the obstacles in the minimum time limit.

Track Specifications
15 ft long, 7 ft wide, 1.5ft depth. It will be filled
with water having 3 checkpoints along the length.
Checkpoints will include some obstacle (water jet,
some small hinderance).

Boat Specifications:

Fabricate your own boat having maximum length

and breath of 50cms and 30cms respectively. Power
your boat by any source (Chemical, pressure, spring,
firecracker) but are not allowed to use any source
of electrical power.

Rules:

1. A team can consist of a maximum of 5 members.

2. Each team must declare a name for their team at

the time of competition.

starting from initial point.
4. Reloading time will also be counted.

5. Only one type of power source is allowed to use.

6. Time limit for making the boat is 90 mins.

7. The boats that you build will be first checked

for size and safety. The boat should not cause
any kind of explosion.

8. Judges have the right to disqualify any team whose

working mechanism or game strategy is considered
hazardous in any way.

Judging Criteria

1. The total score of the final round will depend on

the following factors

(i) Number of checkpoints crossed = a

(ii) Weight of boat = b
(iii) Total time is taken = c
(iv) Bonus for reaching the destination = d

Calculated as
Total score = 0.6*(a) -0.2*(b) -0.2*(c)

+0.4*(d)
2. In case any dispute arises, the judges’ decision
will be considered final and no argument will
be entertained.

3. Any rule is subject to change during the event such

as length of the game or increasing or decreasing the
