Greetings Parent(s) or Guardian(s),

Today your child has been sent home with an infographic about risky online relationships and
how to tell when an online relationship is risky. As social media is becoming more popular, this
is important for your child to know.

Student’s in their 11th grade Informational Technology class will have full access to the internet.
With this being said, it is important they know when someone is trying to communicate with
them inappropriately. I expect every student to know the importance of internet safety, how to
effectively use the internet, and what to do when they encounter inappropriate people via the
internet.

I hope you and your child find the infographic informative and helpful when leading your child
in the right direction toward internet safety. Also, I added a QR code that contains a youtube
video that will briefly educate you about why teens interact with social media predators. Lastly,
