ABSTRACT:
Heavy metal pollution has become one of the most serious environmental issues today. In recent
years, various methods for heavy metal removal from wastewater have been extensively studied. This paper
reviews the recently published studies on removal of heavy metals from water using agricultural waste peel
as effective bio sorbent. It is evident from the literature survey that this low cost biosorbent shows excellent
removal efficiency for removal of heavy metal from water.

ABSTRACT:
In general one of the major reasons for many of the road accidents is overloading of the people in
public buses or vans. Due to overloading, the bus/van losses its weight handling capacity and causes severe
accidents by losing its stability. In our proposed system, an automatic pneumatic door closing mechanism is
designed by sensing the number of people who are all entering the bus/vanand also sensing the weight of the
respective people. Based on the number of seats available in the bus/van,the pneumatic door allows people
to enter into the vehicle and occupy the seats.Once the capacity of the bus/van is reached or the seats are
filled, the door closes automatically and do not allow the furthermore people to enter into the vehicle.

INHIBITION EFFECT OF CETYL TRIMETHYL AMMONIUM
BROMIDE ON THE CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF MILD STEEL

ABSTRACT:
The corrosion inhibition of mild steel in 0.1 M H2SO4 solution by cetyl trimethyl ammonium
bromidehas been studied by weight loss method. The effect of temperature on the corrosion behavior of
stainless steel was studied at 303 K and 333 K. The inhibition efficiency was found to increase with the
inhibitor concentration and decrease with temperature. The adsorption of cetyl trimethyl ammonium
bromideon mild steel in sulphuric acid within the chosen temperature obeyed the Langmuir isotherm with
very high negative value of the free energy of adsorption. Thermodynamic calculations reveal
physiochemical interactions and spontaneous adsorption mechanism.

ABSTRACT:
Our objective here is limited to the Stokes equations alone. The Stokes equations represent the linear
portion of the Navier-Stokes equation. We wish to show that, under reasonable conditions, these equations
can be reformulated as an abstract linear evolutionary equation ∂tu+Au = 0 on an appropriate Hilbert
space. We will show, among other things that the associated Stokes operator A is a positive, self adjoint
operator with compact resolvent.

ABSTRACT:
Culture values have a sensitive collision on a person’s foundation and ethics of life and their way of
living. Wole Soyinka was an exceptional figure of African Literature and one of the most imaginative
playwrights in Africa. He became the first black writer from Africa to win the Nobel Prize in Literature. In
“Kongi’s Harvest” Soyinka has focused on the political actions which occur throughout the Yoruba’s
preparation for festivity of the New Yam festival. Soyinka has described about the culture and tradition of
Isma Land through their New Yam celebration. This paper aims to bring out the precision of Yoruba’s
culture portrayed everywhere in the novel.

ABSTRACT:
Crystal plays a major role in the applications of modern science and technology. A series of organic
and inorganic crystals such as Thiourea + Zinc Chloride, Semicarbazide Hydrochloride + Lithium Chloride
and Samarium Chloride have been successfully synthesized by using solution growth method and slow
evaporation techniques. The FTIR, and UV data of the structural compound were studied and the micro
hardness measurements suggest that crystal is hard in appearance. The crystal growth procedure and the
structural compound with their applications are discussed in this paper.

REPRESENTATION OF WOMEN IN JANE AUSTEN’S PRIDE

AND PREJUDICE

PhD Scholar, Karpagam Academy of higher Education.

ABSTRACT:
Jane Austen is one of the notable women writers of the nineteenth century. Her novel Pride and
Prejudice (1813) spots the women and their social expectations, mostly which are related to marriage. The
protagonist of the novel represents a specific response to the expectation, which is a product of their way of
thinking. Women in the nineteenth century did not have much options when it came to their future. They
might either get married or become governesses if they were educated and refined enough. Their life was
premeditated by their families which tried to treasure them a husband who would underpin them. Jane
Austen’s heroine Elizabeth is an independent and unusual woman who marries the man she loved. The other
characters, such as Lydia and Mrs. Bennet represent women whose objective in life is associated to
marriage. Consequently, all those women mean dissimilar female responses to social norms and to possess
their position in the society.

ABSTRACT:
Language learning is a complex and challenging endeavor. For students to achieve the desired
proficiency in a foreign language, their institutions need to invest time, effort and huge resources in order to
cater for different learning styles. To be cost effective, language-teaching institutions strive to provide
intensive foreign language instruction to reduce the time period needed to learn the target language. This
explains the keen interest in combining different methodologies with instructional technologies that promise
to motivate learners and to respond effectively to their needs. In fact, generally, technology use in learning
environments has presented itself as a necessity for continued lifelong learning with research suggesting that
institutions that lag behind in integrating technology.
The application of computer technologies in language instruction provides a student-centered
learning environment. It enables course administrators and teachers to vary lesson presentation styles to
motivate students of varying interests, provides learning opportunities outside the classroom (hence
increasing learner interaction with the language), integrating multimedia into the traditional learning
environment not only enriches the styles of presentation, but also has the advantage of increasing language
retention. This paper focuses on teaching language through technology.

ABSTRACT:
Queue forms when there is a demand for service than there is a facility for service available there.
Queues form when the existing servers are in the process of service, it is not possible for a business to
provide the level of service necessary to prevent waiting, or there may be a less amount of service to offer.
Queueing theory gives a solution to these questions through mathematical analysis. This paper describes
various queuing models and their applications in different fields.

ABSTRACT:
The prey predator modelling attempts to analyses the factors that involve in the existence of the
species sharing the same environment. Long range memory of many biological systems are very well
modelled by systems with fractional order. This work considers a two species interaction fractional order
model. The existence and uniqueness of solution for the fractional order system is established and the
stability of the system for the commensurate and incommensurate fractional order is investigated.
Numerical simulations for different parameter values are carried out to study the coexistence of the
species.
