Introduction:
Micro-plastic is an emerging contaminant have recently caused significant
economic losses in the marine ecosystem. Micro-plastic have a growing negative
impact on the water environment & on human health due to their specific
surface area, persistence & fluidity. Micro-plastic generated from dye-finish
wastewater is a pivotal concern. (Halden, R. U. (2010). Plastics and Health Risks,
access date: 7th March,2023)
Main sources of Micro-plastic(MP) are:
• Compact Binder
• PU Binder
• Acrylic Binder etc.
In this study, we will separate Micro Plastics from the pretreated wastewater by
Electrocoagulation. In which, we will use Aluminium Electrode Reactor.
Aluminium Hydride will be used as basic solution to make this reactor.
Objectives:

01. 02. 03.

To remove Micro-plastic by To characterize Micro-plastics To examine the efficiency of

Electrocoagulation Aluminium anode galvanic
cell in Micro-plastic removal
