Language Arts/History Research Poster

Grade 8 Language Arts Standard:


2.02 Use multiple sources of print and non-print information to explore and
create research products in both written and presentational forms

Choose 1 of the following topics to research.

Step 1  Select a US President OR a war that the United States was involved in (American
Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Mexican-American War, American Civil War, Spanish American
War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War, Iraq War, Afghanistan
War) OR a Branch of Government (Congress, House of Representatives, Supreme Court OR US
military service branch (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force).

Step 2  Create a poster providing information and pictures about the military service branch, war
that the US was involved in, US President or the branch of government that you have chosen.
