Small Group Communication Explained

Small group communication involves 3 to 15 people discussing an issue, studying a problem, and working together to find a solution. As participants can both speak and listen, rules are needed to facilitate order and ensure everyone has a chance to contribute. Small groups are generally formed for one of two purposes - as a study group to examine a problem in depth, or as a task-oriented group aimed at developing a solution.
