Nice, the boar is now on my range. “Rune of Weeds!” my weeds engulfed

the boar from the ground and so I can bring it home now for a feast.

“Aunt Lyn! I’m home.”

My name is Krishmer, I am living in a remote area with my aunt Lyn and

uncle Fred. In this world magic is part of everyone’s daily living but unluckily I
don’t have any aptitude in magic, I almost give up until one day I acquired a
knowledge that turn my life in a different direction.

In a certain dream I have, I create runes by absorbing materials from the

outside and when I look at my status I gained a new title [Rune Master] and a
new set of skills [Rune Creation] [Rune Shaping] and so I started leveling up.

“Oh, you’re back. What did you have this time?” my aunt is preparing for
dinner, she made the best foods ever.

“Aunty, I got a boar. It is quite big so we can still have some for the next
day.” I released the boar from my rune of storage, if you are wondering how
does my runes look like? it is in shape of cards. I made it like that because it is
easy to carry and looks cool, at least I think it is.

“Oh, that is really a big catch, can you put it in our storage room?”

“Yes aunty.”

Our storage room is like a small hut just outside our main house, aunty
used ice magic to keep the room cool so the food inside would not rot, a great
invention that came from my imagination.

As I finished storing, I saw my uncle forging weapons again. My uncle is a

blacksmith his works are very known that there are people visiting this remote
area just to make weapons.

“Uncle, do not push yourself too hard! The dinner is almost ready by the
way,”

“Okay, I’ll be right there.”

 The dinner has been served elegantly, there are vegetable salad, meat
stew and tofu. I really like all of these.

“Krishmer, I can see that your strength grow a bit. Won’t you show me
your status.”

“Okay, uncle.”

I showed them my status box. [Name: Krishmer Wales, Age: 12, Job: Rune
Master, Lv. 15, 100% Human] [ATK: 34, DEF: 28, INT: 53, MAG ATK: 15, MAG

“As expected, your intelligence is the highest. Maybe that is because you
are always reading books.” Uncle Fred.

“Well, your stats are not bad. Fred, maybe you can let him level up in the
deeper part of the forest with magical beasts.” Aunt Lyn.

“For real, I can now fight magical beasts!”

“Humph, only the lower ranks, and never try to fight monsters greater
than your level without the supervision of your uncle.”

“Mmm” I nodded, tomorrow I will start my dream of fighting magical

beasts, I can’t contain my excitement.

“The food taste delicious, I’ll head to my room now aunty.”

As of now I have a few runes, storage[for storing non-living things], weed

[long grasses that I can bend at my will, they are pretty sturdy], memory[for
memorization], wood[can increase physical defenses and regeneration], torch
[used to enlighten dark places], earth[manipulation of earth element], fire
[manipulation of fire element], wind[manipulation of wind element], water
[manipulation of water element], mirror[reflect any magic, can only be used
once a day], seed[continues growth in all stats], insect[increase the agility by
two folds] and lastly frost[can freeze objects even without water] I acquired this
by practicing magic with my aunt so it is a bit memorable. For a total I have
thirteen rune cards, with these I can hunt magic beasts.

I will read books for tonight, [Rune Magic]. As of these generation rune
magic is almost equitable in fortune telling, but when we go back in the history
there is one famous rune master that can use mischievous power in the year
542. The name of the rune master is William Mahlbad, his achievement brought
him to be the royal mage of Wisteria Empire, the largest empire that has been
established in the history. The mystery of his strange magic is yet to unravel
and after lots of research and trials the Kairo Kingdom discovers some of its
secrets.

We found one of the runes left by Mahlbad called “The Tower” it is made
by pure magic and once used it will summon a giant tower, and base on the
history it used to be the lost tower of Wisteria. We found out that the runes
probably are used for storing magic and by unleashing it, the power conserved
is absolute. The researchers are still finding other runes that is left by Mahlbad
to seek for the truth behind the legendary rune master.

Their research is somewhat the same as how I use my runes, but how did
Mahlbad store a whole tower inside a rune? And they said that the power is
absolute, I wonder if I try absorbing some kind of weapon, will it be able to
make it absolute? I should experiment this out, it’s good that I still have my
dagger I will try it now.

I started to absorb the dagger, but unfortunately it just go to the storage

rune. I wonder if I add extra things such as this, a poison from a deadly toad
that can cause paralysis, now here I go. I enveloped the both with my magic and
then I feel hot sensation in my palm, the rune is forming. Will it be a success?
Please success! Yes it formed. The name is “Paralyze Dagger”, I will activate it
now.

The sword’s appearance change, it become golden with black linings. So I

can combine things to make runes huh. Activate skill [Appraisal], [Name:
Paralyze Dagger][EFFECTS: ATK+30, Paralysis+80%]. Wow, it has also amazing
effects, now I have fourteen runes. But still my mana [220/450], I can’t believe it
will cost me lots of mana.

Tomorrow, I will try to make more weapons.

IRREGULARITIES

Its morning now, I am outside with uncle Fred, he is preparing some tools
and equipment for the both of us, the day where I will fight magic beasts has
now started.

“Uncle, did you make the weapon I requested?” Yesterday, I asked uncle
to create me a scythe, it looks cool and also can be used in small and mid-range
battles.

“Oh, here it is. Are you ready now?”

“Yes uncle, I will do my best to exterminate magic beasts.”

“Okay, that’s the spirit.” We depart and entered the forest, as we go

deeper, I noticed the trees are getting bigger and bigger.

“Uncle, why does trees in deeper part of the forest bigger than on the
sides?”

“Well, people usually don’t go in the deeper part of the forest that is why
the trees here continue to grow. Oh, I also remember that beasts used to inhabit
big trees and guardians of forests grow them in deeper parts to avoid conflict
between races.”

“Then what are the guardians of forests?”

“They are called Dryads, they keep the harmony in forests and protects
its inhabitants. Dryads are very strong and some story said that every part of
the forest is part of the Dryad itself so if you hurt the forest, the guardian will
be mad.”

“I see, I will be more careful in the forest to not hurt the Dryad.”

Uncle suddenly smirked, I wonder what happened. Well, I shall draw my

paralyze dagger first. I get the card[rune] and activate it, the card is swallowed
by light and then my short golden black sword appeared.

“Krishmer, I found a target. Follow me.” I followed uncle and in a few

walks I found a Water Bear, gladly it is not matured yet so I guess I can handle
it. Appraisal [Water Bear lvl.22, ATK: 50, DEF: 40, MAG ATK:54, MAG DEF: 47,
AGI: 20] [Skills: Water Bullet, Bubble Bomb, Water Claw]

“Krishmer, be careful. I will cheer you up.”

 Okay, it’s time to shine. Rune of Insect will double my agility, rune of
earth will stumble its movements and now to bind it I will activate the rune of
weeds. Now I will attack with Paralyze Dagger, here I go.

Wait something is not right, the bear break free from the weeds. It was
unexpected but I still managed to cut its left arm, I will win this. I activated the
rune of frost to freeze it and stop its movement and now for finale, I leaped
towards the bear and pierce its heart. The rune of seed activates, it seems to be
an automatic rune and now for my stats. [Name: Krishmer Wales, Age: 12, Job:

The seed have some great effects and I also obtain a new skill, rune
overwriting huh. [Rune Overwriting: mana cost=250, with compatible materials
you can upgrade a rune boosting its effects.]

Now for the arm that I cut, I started to absorb it to make a rune. Water
Bear’s hand holds most of its physical power, within a few seconds the rune is
formed. The name is Left Claw and the effect is [equip to the left arm of the
user, it have great piercing power.] Piercing power huh, maybe this one is useful
in battling close-combat.

“Uncle, I’m done. I raised three levels.”

“Oh, that was fast. Would you like to raise more levels?”

I just nodded and we headed near the waterfall, uncle said those are leaf
flies and their weakness is fire element but just to be sure I activate my skill
appraisal [Name: Leaf Fly, lvl.28] [ATK:50, DEF:38, MAG ATK:45, MAG DEF:30,
AGI:60] There are eight of them, it’s quite a harvest. They are drinking in the
river down the water fall so their feet are down the water, I use frost to freeze
the water but I am surprised that they also freezes, well it is my advantage.

I activate my rune of left claw to test it, it is silver claw the same with the
bear. I use insect to increase my speed and then dashes to the free loots, I’m
impressed that the left claw cleanly cut everything in addition to it leaves some
blades that has the same sharpness midair. Rune of seed activated once again, I
wonder how many levels I gained.

to equip today, both the dagger and the claw. But as long as you accomplished
your task it is fine, let us head back for now, I still need to forge something that
the knights of the kingdom ordered.”

My uncle sure is a busy person, but despite of that he is also very strong,
he is already at level 146. I am just wandering why did he stop being an
adventurer, I heard that he is really famous at the kingdom not just as a
blacksmith but also due to his strength. Well it’ll be best to not interrupt in his
personal life.

“Yes uncle, I believe that I leveled up enough for today too.” Eleven levels
in a day must be great.

“By any means, you are at least level 35 now aren’t you? After all, the
magic beasts you fought are quite high level.” Huh, I should have been level 35
but I have the rune of seed, how could this be? That rune’s effect must have
increased my growth so why?

“Uncle, sorry to disappoint you but I am only level 26.”

“Huh, level 26. How could that be?”

“Sorry uncle, I guess it is just hard for me to level up.” Shit, I guess my
growth is immense but it just a daydream.

“Krishmer, can you let me see you stats.” I then let uncle see my stats and
as he saw it. “I see, your growth did not have any problem, this status can be
compared to a level 40.”
LEAVING THROUGH FOREST

“Oh Fred, you are not joking. This stats of Krishmer is really tier to level
40.” We already get back home and currently taking our dinner.

“See, it is strange, I mean his stats are high but his level is low.”

“Well aunt, I still have three years to level up here so I guess I can still
surpass level 50 before I go for my own adventure.” Once I turned fifteen, I will
be considered as an adult and it is tradition for people to let adults have their
free life, I wanted to go and become an adventurer but it is required to at least
become level 50.

“I guess with these strange growth, you should increase the difficulty of
your training if you want to be level fifty by that time, leveling up gets harder
as your level get higher too so it will be more difficult for you.”

Days, weeks, months and years hop in an instant, I am now fifteen years
old and hunting for my prey. Appraisal [Normal Wyvern lv.104] [ATK:402,
DEF:352, MAG DEF:200, AGI:380], this magical beast contains but cannot use
magic but their physique and speed are their weapon. I’m lucky that it came to
this forest.

I activated the rune of Lightning as first strike, with this it will be slowed
for a moment and now I will activate my rune of Vines to bind it, it is the
advanced version of weed, it now have poison and is more durable. The wyvern
will try to breakfree but the more it struggles the more poison will be injected
and within this time I equipped my rune of Malicious Dagger, it is the evolution
of Paralyze Dagger, now it has the ability of multiplying the poison and making
it more violent aside from the paralyzing effect. Just a single touch and the
wyvern is done for. Let us see my stats.

 My new skill will be very useful, I should try it now. First is Ice, it evolves
from the frost, with this I can freely control and generate ice even without
water source. Activate skill, Rune Innatement, I can feel my mana combining
with the rune of ice then the rune became fragments and transferred to my
body. [MANA:7,900/10,700] [New Job: MAGE] [New Skills: Frost, Ice Barrier, Ice
Spear, Ice heal, Ice Break, Ice Domination] woah, rune innatement is absurd.
And the ice domination is a skill that allows me to learn any ice spells, this is
freaking insane.

Aqua Heal, Aqua Blast, Aqua Embodiment, Whirlpool, Water Domination]. I will
continue this, [MANA:2,900/10,700] [New Skills: Air Steps, Wind Blades, Wind

Burst, Lightning Arrow, Lightning Rod, Discharge, Lightning Wave, Lightning

I exhaust my mana too much, but still I am now a mage with four
elements. I can also display my job as a mage rather than a rune master, thanks
to rune innatement. I guess it’s time to say goodbye to uncle and aunt now.

I go home and ready my luggage for tomorrow, uncle give me a magic

stone and aunt gave a black robe as farewell gifts. I immediately use the magic
stone uncle gave me to enhance my scythe, the stone’s element is dark so it
became Perish Scythe.

“Krishmer, do not forget to visit sometimes.” Aunt Lyn waves as I am

leaving, I will miss this atmosphere. Now I will begin my very own adventure, I
want to be as good as them.

I choose to walk in the depths of forest to avoid bandits, aunt said that
bandits are really dangerous so if I encounter them I must not hesitate to kill
but I don’t want to kill people so it’s better if I will just fight with magic beasts.

Wait a sec, are there really people fighting here, the enemy is just a
wyvern lv.80. “Ice of the cold element, become one with me and unleash your
power in thy enemy, Sheer Cold!” oh that was splendid move, the ice gathered
inside and froze the whole body. Activate skill, ice domination [New Skill: Sheer
Cold, mana cost:300]

The man fighting looks like in trouble, I guess I shall lend him a hand,
there are two more of them after all. I equipped my rune of insect[+150% AGI]
then my rune of vines to capture and poison them and I then used my Perish
Scythe, it’s ability is to sharpen and lengthen in my command, it also allow me
to use runes without saying its name.

I leaped and cut the head of both wyverns, they really are frail. Uncle said
that my stats can rival a level 180 as of now so this kinds of wyverns are
nothing but mere ants, I then looked at the man. His dark blue hair suits his
eyes, he is about 5’9 in height, his clothes are made of fine materials and it is
enchanted with magic, I wonder if he is a nobility.

“Oh man, you saved me. Thanks for helping.”

“It’s nothing, these are just low-level wyverns so it won’t even make me
break a sweat. However, this part of the forest is quite dangerous for normal
people so you must not stay for too long. I will go now, bye.”

“Wait…”

“What is it?”

“Mister, can you at least tell me your name?”

“My name huh, you can call me Krishmer, a mage.”

“Krishmer, my name is Viel and I just came here to train. I went

overboard and ended up here. Would you mind tagging me along to the Cyan
town?” so he is just training here, I am still doubting if I can trust a person I
just met. “Do not worry, I will pay enough compensation when we arrived.”

I guess I will escort him but still I should increase my wariness. “I

wouldn’t mind, you are free to go with me.”

“Cool.”
CYAN TOWN

We walked an hour already from where we fought wyverns, I already saw

certain level?

“I know you are strong, can you tell me how to level up easily. I know
your level is very high, that is why you easily kill those wyverns right?”

“Pfft, kuhahah.” He really thinks that my level is higher than him.

“Krishmer sir, what’s so funny?”

“To tell you the truth, your level is far above mine. You are at level 92 am
I wrong?”

“Indeed I am at level 92, then what is your level?”

“Here see for yourself.” I show him a glimpse on my status. [Krishmer

“Well, my uncle said there are really people that cannot level up easily,

this guy acting so familiar?

“Are you even listening to me, even though I am level 60 I can beat those
who have higher levels than me.”

“Well, I guess that is right. You one hit two high level wyverns after all,
your body enhancement magic is incredible I guess.”
 “I will take that as a compliment.” I have never been able to talk to people
with the same age as me since I came to this world, its kinda fun.

As soon as we crossed the forest, the gate of Cyan Town is already

visible. The guards looks so terrifyingly strict, when I was about to enter the
gate they barged with spears.

“Wait, this guy is accompanying me. Let him inside.” Eh, Viel has an
influence in this guards, I wonder who is he for real? The guards immediately
move aside, incredible. Nice one, Viel.

“Thanks for that Viel, I did not know they need some identification cards
to enter.”

“Don’t mention it, compared to saving me from wyverns it’s nothing. So,
would you like to have a dinner at my house? We have the best cook in this
town.”

“Sure, tasty foods are best after long adventures.” I wonder how the food
in the outside world tastes, ever since I was small I only eat what my aunt Lyn
made.

We start to walk in the vicinities of the town, even though it is small there
are lots of merchants and stores. I have never seen this much of people, I
wonder what items can I find here? “Swords and different types of blade! We
sell the best items you can imagine.” Swords huh, I guess I should check.

“Viel, may I look at that shop? I just want to check something.”

“Okay, let me accompany you.” We get to the shop immediately. I use my

appraisal skill, the hell is this?

“Pathetic!”

“Young lad, what did you just say about my blades?” the merchant seems
to be unsatisfied with my opinion.

“The blades are poor quality, it will break before even fighting. It don’t
seem to be augmented by magic thus it is nothing but trash. Instead of helping
in a fight it most likely be a hindrance, it’s pathetic.”

“Hey kid! My swords are of the top quality in this country, you are just a
brat that knows nothing about weapons. If you really are a good at weapons
why don’t you show me some of yours?” this merchant is pathetic, how could
such blades be of top quality? Fraud, definitely a fraud. “What you don’t have a
weapon? then you are just spitting non-sense!”

For the sake this pathetic guy, “Malicious Dagger, Perish Scythe, Sword of
Antiquity, Athame of Defiance” my four favorite weapons are now on show.
Here, take a look, appraise them if you want.”

“They are nothing but low-grade weapons, look at the scythe, can you
even consider it as a blade?” the scythe without pouring magic power will not
be sharp. “I shall appraise it now!” on his first glimpse, “This is insane!”.

“Hey Krishmer, what is with your weapons? He seems to be shocked.”

Viel must have been curious because of mr. Merchant’s reaction.

“Nothing much, those are just my usual weapons.”

“This is the first time I have seen such powerful weapons other than
those that are heirloom of high nobles, are you perhaps a noble of some sort? If
so I hope you forgive my rudeness.” So that is a noble’s treatment huh, even
Viel’s look changed.

“I am not a noble though, it just happen that I know how to forge and
cast enchantments. I should also apologize for mocking your weapons, I just
got carried away when I hear that there are strong blades. I shouldn’t expect
much I guess.” Haha my bad, being cocky would lead to danger. This man does
not look a bad person but I should not be careless.

“Young lad, if you would, can you sell me these weapons? I believe I can
pay as much as you want. Give me the price.” Ow, I can’t just sell my weapons,
and they are runes you know?

“Unfortunately, even if you get that weapon no one other than me can
use them. I made the enchantments so that I am the only one who can activate
their effects.” This should do it, yeah, he won’t pursue it any longer.

“D, Did you just say that you made the enchantments?” Well I did hear
that being able to enchant a weapon is a rare skill, how lucky I am that I have a
rune for that. My rune of Augmentation is a real deal huh.

Viel.

high grade materials maybe I can consider it. Well then, I’ll be off now, bye-bye.”
I pulled Viel, and move away from the store.

“Hey wait, why did you suddenly pull me out?”

“Believe me there is a really important reason,” shit my stomach growls.

“Ah I see, you realized you were hungry and grabbed me because of the
promised dinner right?” shit, why am I being embarrassed in this man that I
just have met, think of a reason, maybe it’s because I don’t have experience in
having a conversation of someone of my age, yeah that’s why.

“Yeah, I got carried away by the situation earlier, so is it okay if we go

now?” I’m really hungry.

“Of course, I will lead the way.” We walk a little bit, and arrived in some
sort of restaurant.

Although it’s not so big there are lots of people here, the tables and
chairs are beautiful, not just that the whole place is designed in floral patterns.
They even have flowers in each table, it looks like a perfect restaurant for fancy
people. But wait, why are we here, I thought we will go to this guy’s house.

“My family runs this restaurant, our house is behind it. Let us sit now.”

“Okay.” The chair does not just look beautiful it is actually comfortable
and warm, the smell inside is just like smelling flowers in spring, it feels like I
am in a garden of beautiful flowers.

“So, here’s the menu. Feel free to order what you like, it’s my treat after
all.” Wow, there is so much variety for every dishes.

“I would like the Wyvern Stew and Fried Octopus, also I would like apple
juice for the beverage.”

“Okay then, wait for me here I will take your order.” Oh he is the one that
would serve me. Looking at the other people, everyone is enjoying their foods.

Oh he’s back. “Sorry for the wait, here is your food.” Wait a sec, these are
not just what I ordered, don’t tell me he added lots of them. They all look
delicious but I doubt I can eat them all.

“Umh, isn’t it a bit too much, you know I can’t eat everything you
brought.”

“Oh just eat what you can, my mother told me that she will make lots of
foods for the one who saved me. When she hear that I brought you here, she
cooked all she can with the remaining ingredients in the kitchen.”

“Oh, is that so? Then I should thank her later.” His mother seems to be a
really good person. I started to taste some of the foods, the flavor in this fish
penetrates as it melts in my mouth, its tasty.

“It’s delicious! I haven’t eaten something like this before.”

 “I’m glad you like it.” As soon as we finished eating, he invited me to rest
at his house. Unlike the restaurant their house is pretty normal, they have a
large bath so I thought of having some.

“Ahh, the hot water feels so good.” Viel is so hospitable.

“Yeah isn’t it?” wait a sec, how did this person get here?

“Vi..Viel how did you get here?”

“Well it is our property after all. I just want to get closer to you, that’s not
malicious at all isn’t it? Since we are friends now.”

“If that’s just it, I wouldn’t mind.”

“So what are your plans tomorrow?”

“The truth is, the reason for me coming here is to be an adventurer. For
the last fifteen years I’ve been dependent on my guardians, I want to stand on
my own foot and venture in this vast world.”

“So that’s it, but you can’t do everything alone you know? You will need
some companions, I want to form a party with you. We will be the strongest
pair of adventurers, don’t you agree?”

What are these? Is this tears? Why am I crying? What is happening? My

runes suddenly flashed, the one outstands of the other runes is. The rune I
always have by my side, I am remembering everything. This light that almost
blind me, just what are these? I feel like my eyes are getting heavier, no, I need
to stay consc… scious.
MEMORIES OF YESTERDAY

“My name is John Levi Reiss, I will be your companion from now on.” I

defeated a B rank party in a match, I will start as a D rank adventurer while Viel
is B rank. Our party is in the starting line of F rank, it will go up as soon as we
accomplish missions.

vines, it is the same when I was saved by Krishmer but there is not even grass

After I regained my memories, I learned new things such as chanting in a

language of my old world, the ancient latin language allows me to cast powerful

I saw that new skills appeared after I’ve done those spells, the ancient
language chanting that allows me to cast sorcery using ancient language, and
Infernal Affinity which allows me to cast magic or sorcery that are directed to
souls and spirits. So far, I am able to gain this two, I wonder if I can learn more,
if that happen I can be much stronger.

In our first adventure, We(I) decided to go for wyvern nest subjugation

and met a special class wyvern with wings of holy element. Soon those pair of
wings become part of Viel, there I discovered that I can still make runes and can
also use the rune innatement to other people. But as soon as he get his wings…

“Hey! Viel, don’t put too much mana on your wings!” ugh this guy become
troublesome, if he do that he will easily lose his mana and surely will fall. Damn
I need to fly to save him.

 Using magic grows more and more convenient for me, I guess I should
store these wyverns for the mean time, they may sell in a high price. I should
also find a settlement tomorrow, my money should be enough.

“Hah, it’s morning already! Krishmer you did not wake me as you said.”

“Sorry, I spent too much time gazing at the stars and could not follow the

We are now going back to the town, we fly after having our breakfast. But

“Viel calm down! We should save her first.” I hope this will do it. I draw a
pentagram with healing attribute in her body, I focus my magic power to grow
her limbs back. “Though it is not a full-recovery because I can’t return your
blood, this will do as a first aid.”

“Thank you sir… but…” she is still barely speaking, the damage is severe.
“Viel, you must go to the capital.”
TRAGEDY

“Why? Please explain everything to me.” Viel must be so worried about

his parents. I should do what I can to help.

“Viel, stay here and talk to her. I will go find your parents, get every detail
you can get. I know you are worried about your family but you almost lost all of
your mana and strength, if they are injured you won’t be able to cure them. No
more questions, I’ll be back.”

I fly above to widen my search, just the other day this place is so lively

five scions will help the hero. I am one of them, along with the other scions we
will defeat the demon lord. If that legend is true then the demons must want to
decrease the humanities’ power.

But why would everyone suffer? Why did demons hate humans? I resent
demons, I promise to this village that has been destroyed and to the humans
that have died, I will kill all the demons, I will not let a single one of them
escape. The demon lord will pay for all of his sins.

“Viel! I’m back” Krishmer is carrying my parents, means they are both
alive. I am so happy they survived.
 “Krishmer, you saved them.” Huh, why is it that he looked down? Why?
My parents are alive right? “Thank goodness they are both alive.”

“I’m sorry. Your father saved your mother from danger.”

“But he is alive right? He is alive right!?” why am I feeling so much rage.

“Your father, died with honor.” No way, this isn’t true, my father is strong
so he can’t die. “He sacrificed himself for your mother.”

“Enough of the lies! This is not true! I am just having a nightmare and
tomorrow I will wake up like nothing happened, the village will be lively and
peaceful. Everyone, my friends, my companions are all alive right!?” this can’t
be happening.

It has just been a day, everything is normal and peaceful… and everyone
they are all smiling.

We buried my father in the mountain peak, I know he would love the

scenery here. Within a month my mother fully recovered, Krishmer also helps
everyone by healing and cooking so the town starts to rise once again. I know
Cyan Town will once again shine.

“After a month of rehabilitation, we are ready to depart now. I know this

won’t be an easy path but as long as we are together we can do anything!”

“Just hurry up! Or else I will leave you behind.” Krishmer is now level 75,
according to him the progress is fast for him.

“Wait for me!” I am now level 142 but still no match to him, but one day I
will surpass him.

To avoid monsters we decided to fly to the next city, the city of Vibel, this
city is the pride of magicians where magicians are roaming everywhere.
 “So this is Vibel, the city of magic. There are lots of magicians and magic
items can be seen anywhere… they have lamps made of magic… woah look at
that clock it’s so big… everything here is related with magic.” I get excited too
much, this is my first time here after all.

“Those things are mere garbage, I am far more capable than them.” Is he
getting jealous of those things.

I really can’t stand what happened to Cyan town, all the people are
cursed but there is no presence of any demon. I tried to look for clues but there
really is nothing, the curses are difficult to deal with so we have to stay there
for a month to fully cure everyone. I kept it a secret for myself so they won’t
panic.

There are shady things here, they said that the demons attacked but
there are no traces of any, demons will not clean up their mess in a battle
furthermore there are people that alive but are tortured, that would not be
done by demons. I know that people of races do this but who are they? Who are
the real enemy? And what is their motive?

I can’t increase Viel’s worries anymore, I will just tell him once I am
certain and already gained enough evidence. Perhaps the king might help us
resolve this case.
HISTORIA KINGDOM

In order to go to the capital of Historia Kingdom we ride a carriage, it is

inconvenient to fly after all, we may be blamed to be accustomed by demons. In
our way we need to cross the Lufilia City and the Lufilia hills, as such we expect
to be there at noon.

The Lufilia city is a small city connecting the capital to Vibel, this is
where the most famous blacksmiths settle. The city is near to the capital so
they can supply weapons in case of emergency and on the other side is Vibel
that is continuously ordering their products to enchant it, how clever.

Lufilia hills is a peaceful area where there are only low level monsters
that even a normal person with normal weapon can kill, to be more specific
there are only slimes here. After this we will arrive to the capital at last.

The guards are verifying us, they look at our guild cards and when they
look at Viel’s, they ordered him to go down the carriage and as his escort I also
go. They made some of the knights accompany us to the castle where the king,
the hero and the other scions await. Knights are aligned at every corner of the
castle, the throne room is filled with different people, from what I can see they
are most or all from noble families.

“Welcome ‘Scion of Light’ Viel Myriad and his companion. I am the 17’th
king of HIstoria Kingdom, Roland Historia, I appreciate your arrival here in the
capital.” We kneeled before him, why am I feeling doubts?

“I am the only princess of the kingdom, Maria Historia. It is my pleasure

to meet you both.” The princess seems to be normal, now we will make our
introduction.

“It is a pleasure to meet the king and the princess, I am Viel Myriad, the
Scion of Light.”

“My name is Krishmer Wales, I am here as an accomplice of the scion of

light. I am glad to meet your highness.”

“You two may raise your heads.” I can now see the face of the king and
the princess, the king is very fat, while I the people I saw outside are in the
brink of dying from starvation. The princess has cold looks, not letting a single
expression leave her face.

“The hero and the four scions have arrived!” the knight in the gate said.
 I wonder who are they, and I wonder if it is also possible that the hero is
from my old world, maybe I shall peek now. Wait he is…

“It is a pleasure to meet the scion of light and his companion, my name is
John Levi Reiss, I am the summoned hero and these are the other scions.” That

After meeting the hero party, Krishmer suddenly changed. I feel his anger
is rampant, I never saw him like this before. I need to talk to him later.

We are granted different rooms in the castle, he went to his room while
me and the hero party gone to meeting. We gathered at the hero, Sir John Levi’s
room, we need to help him level up as fast as possible.

It seems that sir Levi has just started leveling after training with other
scions. He climbed to level 50 in just a week, worthy of being called a hero.
Tomorrow we will practice on the fields and teach the hero more magic so that
he will accomplish the goal. And as it is to defeat the demon king, I will do my
utmost to help him, this is to avenge my townsmen.

What should I do now? I considered of the possibility that the person will
come from my world but why is it Levi? This must be a fluke.

Yeah what a great coincidence it is? I will never forget what he have done.
But I should not also let my promise with Viel be voided, ugh this is making me
freaking insane. But there is still the fact that Levi don’t recognize me so if I can
act normally in front of him… maybe that will do.

“Alright, I will do this.”

 “Krishmer, I was just wondering if you are fine. Earlier you were a bit off,
if you have a problem you can tell me.”

“Oh, I’m fine now. My tummy just hurt a little earlier but thanks to their
delicious tea the pain is gone and I feel much better.”

“Eh, their tea is that great. I wish I can have some too.”

“Ohoh, too bad I drank ‘em all. But the cookies are great too you know.”

“Now, would you mind giving me some. Please.”

“Oh no, I already ate them all.”

“Ahh why you? I have been worrying for you all this time but you are just
here being a glutton. The worst is you don’t even left me some.” Yes, I will act
like I don’t know the hero as long as I can have fun that’s it.

“Oh, I am already wondering what might our dinner be? I already feel the
delightfulness residing in my mouth.”

“Damn glutton, but speaking of, I am also getting hungry.”

JOHN LEVI REISS

I am an ordinary college student boarding with my friend Joeri Waltson,

don’t know how but that person is removing the souls of people and burning
the souls themselves.

The people are begging for their lives, but then the man, Joeri did not
even listen he continue to burn their souls to ashes and all of them died. How
could he do such horrible things? Unforgivable! This is unforgivable!

“People like you are not needed by this world eternally.” Is what he said
to the corpses of people but in my eyes it is him that is not needed of this
world.

In the next morning at our dorm, he surprisingly acted calm as if he did

not commit those murders. There is no news that spread about the people that
died and everyone acted like they did not even know them in the first place. I
don’t get it, I really don’t get it! It is out of logic.

After a few days certain person approached me, I did not know them but
they all know Joeri. They said that he is part of an evil cult that banishes souls
of people, he is called Soulburner, an alias that fits him.

“Sir, haven’t you seen already how he killed people? Imagine more
innocent lives dying in his hands, our group is created just to eliminate this
threat to humanity. Please help us I beg you.”

I can’t also take Joeri’s actions any longer, that is why I decided to help
them exterminate the Soulburner. I lured Joeri into their trap to help them
capture him and after that I never saw him again. Never, until the day that his
parents announced that he died in an accident but I would not believe it so I go
to his burial.
 What awaits me is… *slap* “You idiot, he is the only person capable of
destroying evil souls that resides in our world and you, his most trusted friend
killed him. You are the worst!” hey, this must not be true. His sister must have
been lying for his sake.

“Isn’t he just killing innocent people, there is no way such man exorcises
evil. He is the one who killed lots of people, or am I wrong?”

“Yes, unfortunately you are wrong.” His father, I never hear him talk once
“The people you helped are evil souls manifested in human body, and the one
you killed is one of the hopes of humanity in winning against them. In fact the
title Soulburner is a pride.”

“I… I am wrong. How could I not tell, I’ve been with Joeri ever since we
were young and when he killed those people he must have a reason or two. But
I acted without even thinking, how can I count myself as one of his friends?”

The worst of all is that how can humanity survive without him, I made a
blunder, and this blunder can put the whole world in danger. How idiot can I
be?

I want to see Joeri again, even for just a second. I want to say sorry for
everything I have done, “Joeri, please forgive me! Forgive me for my selfishness,
for not thinking, sorry for killing you.”

Huh, what is this light? It’s so warm and comfortable, everything is

covered in white and when the light dissipates.

“Oh brave hero, I thank you for hearing our prayers.”

“Eh what is this? where am i? why am I here?” this is like a huge castle.

“Esteemed hero you are at the Historia Kingdom, and I am the king, King
Roland Historia. We summoned you here by the ancient hero summoning
method, it is our last resort to defeat the evil demon king for destroying the
world. He already killed most of our forces, we tried to stop him but we just
can’t handle his power. Please hero, lend us your strength”

“Please, mighty hero.” These people, I am their only hope then…

“I will do my utmost.”
 I accepted the duty of being a hero, they said that I will have strength
that can shake the world. They also said that I will have five companions, they
are the scions that are destined by heaven.

Four of them resided at the castle, they are the scions of fire, water,
earth, and wind, thus the scion of light is the last awaited. I trained with the
four scions for three weeks and enter a low-level dungeon in one week. I leveled
up very fast according to them.

After my first month at the castle, the scion of light appeared with his
companion. The scion of light looks very strong but what intrigues me is his
accomplice, that person reminds me of Joeri.

I don’t know how or why but he is like Joeri. I want to know him more,
more than anyone in his world. If there is at least 1% that Joeri’s soul dwell
inside of him, I will bet he exist.

In the afternoon when I and the scions have our meeting for my training
regimen, I am hoping to see and talk to him but according to sir Viel he get sick
and needs rest.

I hope tomorrow I can talk to him.

TRAINING THE ESTEEMED HERO

Viel and the other scions will train with the hero but, I am dragged along
with them. I want to see their status first. <John Levi Reiss, 18y/o, Hero, lv.50>

“Indeed, my name is Krishmer Wales sir hero. Do you have something

that you want from me?” What is he up to?

“Ah no, I just… you just remind me of my friend back in my world.” I

wonder who is the friend you are talking about? is it those spirits? Those who
you cooperated to kill me?

“I don’t really know but I just feel it. You must think that I am crazy but I

the same element with Viel, both of them are using ice magic. Golems may have
different vitalities depending on the caster, but these five golems seems to be
really tough.

“Wyverns, surround him and blast everything with ice.” Command, he

created intelligent golems, these golems are those that can be commanded and
act on their will even without their creator. I also need to counter.

“Flames, pay heed, devour the enemy with thy power: Divine Flames.”
This is the magic that only heroes can use, divine magic. Now let’s see how are
the wyverns? they are obliterated, as expected of divine magic from gods.
 “Wah, those white flames are so cool, as expected of the hero you
defeated my trump card. I guess that settles it for today, my mana won’t last if I
keep fighting you.” He’s low mana already, I guess my high mana as a hero is an
advantage, it is clear in this fight.

“Then, you can rest. I will watch how the five scions are doing.” Is it really
impossible to continue our fight? It is really fun sparring with him, it is just my
bad that his mana is so low. If only I can change that fact.

I left Krishmer and go the five scions, they are currently planning on our
next dungeon adventure. They said that the next dungeon that we will conquer
is much higher level than what we have before, because the scion of light is
with us now the team is complete. The dungeon is called Nekroz or ‘the
labyrinth of the undead’ where mummies, zombies and ghost will appear every
time. I am surprised that the super natural species in our world is real here.

I will continue my journey here, I promise that the trusts my companions

gave me won’t go to waste. Joeri can you hear me? It is my turn now to save a
world, you want to do this too right? I know you would. Please, merciful gods
hear my prayers.

I should investigate for now, I still don’t know if the king is trustworthy
or not. Rune of shadow activate, this will hide my presence in the shadows so I
can travel not being seen. The guards are increasing in this area, I wonder if
there is something malicious here.

Wait, this is the personal room of the king, the other guy next to him… I
remember seeing him when we just arrived here. He was one of the nobles in
the throne room, what is his business with the majesty?

“King Roland, you still haven’t settled your debt to us. How long are you

I am well concerned.”

Princess Maria approaches Levi “Why is that sir hero?”

 “Because, the language used in this text is the language of my old world.
And I might know the person behind his incident.” Well, I leave my autograph
for all of you so you must know.

“Then what does it says sir hero?” the princess will know.

“Please listen I will read it aloud. ‘This two committed a grave mistake, to
the hero, they are about to take advantage of your power to take over the
demon continent. The demons did not attack the villages of the five scions by
the order of the demon king, they are just mercenaries hired by the nobles of
this kingdom led by the other man lying there. I know this may shock everyone
but no matter how many resurrecting spells you make, it will not return the
souls of these two. I advise you to just push forward for the betterment of the
kingdom with Princess Maria as the new ruler, she has a kind heart and bravery

“So the perpetrator named himself, acting like an ally of justice huh.” The
scion of flames, Leon Ferreos stood.

“I wonder if we can trust the person.” Lillian Blues.

“Please, what if what he said is the truth? Then we are all being used for
greediness of the nobles, are we just pawns for them?” Ellisa Harbinger.

Lillian also go back to Ushion City, her home, with Leon to give proper
burial in the once called city of ocean. They plan to live in the capital to govern
a land given to them by the queen after that.

On the other side the hero, Levi, decided to go on a journey in this

continent to improve his abilities, he want to acquire the power he can use to
protect this nation by himself.

I guess it is also time for him to see my guardians, he’s been a good

any place except this forest and my home before.” These giant trees remind me
of the fights I have in this place.
