What is a Title I School?
• Receives Federal aid to supplement the entire school’s educational program.
• Provides the following
• Instructional support – Intervention, tutoring, technological resources, and learning programs.
• Parental Involvement Opportunities – Workshops, instructional resources, decision-making etc.

Title I campuses shall provide assistance to parents in understanding:

v State academic content and academic achievement standards


vState and local assessments
vHow to monitor a child’s progress
vHow to work with their children to improve student achievement

• Certifications
• Paraprofessional services
Notice of Parent Activities

Parents receive invitations and reminders for all parent activities. These invitations and
advertisements are provided in a variety of ways such as:

• school’s website
• Electronic newsletters
• Electronic flyers
• calling systems
• marquee

• Parent and Family Engagement Compact: Agreement between School Staff, Parents, and Students to
work toward higher achievement
• Parent Involvement Policy – School’s plan to encourage and include parental involvement in all pertinent
school activities
