Meet The Teacher!

Hi! My name is Mrs. Floyd and I am so thrilled to be your third grade teacher this year. It
is going to be a fun year full of lots of learning and new adventures and I can’t wait to see
what the year has in store for us. I want to know all about you, but first I am going to tell you
a few things about me.

I was born and raised in Ninety Six, SC. I am the middle child of three. After I graduated
from high school, I moved to Myrtle Beach to attend Coastal Carolina University. Go Chants!
I majored in Elementary Education and could not wait to start teaching.

I have taught at CES for fourteen years. I taught fifth grade for four years, fourth grade
one year, and third grade for nine years. I can’t wait to help you become a better reader,
mathematician, historian, and scientist! We are going to soar to wild about learning this
year! Mrs. Floyd’s Flock Rocks!!!

I am married to a wonderful man, Mr. Floyd. We have two wild dogs named Dahlia
and Harley. You will hear a lot about these rambunctious pups. They have more energy than
a room full of third graders! I can’t wait to spend this year learning and growing with you!
