Dear Boys and Girls,

We cannot believe that this is our last day together. It does not seem possible that this year is already over! Before we let you go for the summer, we wanted to tell each of you how much you amazed us this year. How lucky were we to have the opportunity to work with such a fabulous bunch of children. Each class is unique and that makes each year such a different experience. You hold a very special place in our hearts because of the wonderful people you are and because of all the great memories that we share. You learned many new things this year. New books were read and you learned a lot of new vocabulary words. You learned how to multiply and divide double-digit numbers. In your writing, you practiced using a beginning, middle and end, and began using precise words. The amount of growth you made is amazing and you should be proud.

As you walk out of our classrooms today, we hope you know what a truly unique, talented, and amazing person you are. We hope you leave knowing how successful you are. All of you have been generous with your belongings, your knowledge, and your time. You all have special talents and have shared them with us. When you brought your gifts and talents to our classrooms, you

helped to build a unique learning community. We learned from each other. We fit together like a puzzle and without even just one of us, our puzzle would not have been complete. We needed every single person in this class. We hope you know how important you are to us, to your classmates, to your family, and to many others in our school community. We know you will do many fabulous things with your life, and we cannot wait to see what amazing gifts you give to the world around us. You have already proven what precious gifts you can bring to a classroom. Believe in yourself and your ability to accomplish anything. Know that we will always believe in each and every one of you. Have a safe and wonderful summer and best wishes next year. Remember us as we will definitely remember each and every one of you!

We hope you both have a fantastic summer and if time allows next year, please come back! We will miss you (again, especially Mrs. Glass).

Summing up Mrs. Glass class

Well guys, you made it! You have successfully completed 4th grade Science and Texas History in my class! Guess what else??? You should be EXTREMELY proud of yourselves because you did more than you thought you ever could. YOU wrote a book. Actually, you wrote and illustrated two of them and I couldnt be prouder. Everything I put out in the universe for you to absorb can be found between the pages of your books that you can keep forever. Cherish them and share what you have learned by teaching others and using your book next year. Make sure to tell your teachers at Houston that Mrs. Glass tried to prepare you and will check up on you from time to time. Yes, this year has been challenging at times, but also exciting and I believe a year that neither you nor I will ever forget! I will miss each and every one of you. Enjoy your summers and good luck next year as FIFTH graders! P.S. If you ever want to reach me remember you can contact at my email address or on my website. They wont change!
