What is Literacy?

Event Activity: Create a Book (30 -60 minutes)
• Directions: Create a short story, use crayons and markers to decorate. Read
the story to your child from start to finish. Next, read the story with expression
and ask questions (shared book reading). Lastly, compare the difference.
• Materials: Construction paper, staplers, crayons, markers, pencils
