Color Atlas by Archroma

Color Atlas online is free to use for all SDC International Design Competition entrants! This
document provides a quick summary of how to use it, although we recommend you watch
the short online tutorial, available on SDC’s Colour Network: www.colour.network

The online Color Atlas is free to use - you do not need to add colours to the cart or buy
anything.

 Watch the video tutorial on www.colour.network. This is a step by step guide of

what to do. The video introduces the Color Atlas and the benefits of using it.

 Go to the online version of the Color Atlas - copy and paste the following link
https://coloratlas.archroma.com/

 Click on ‘Explore Atlas’ and then on ‘Register’. This is free to do and means you
can create a collection to store your colours.

 You will need to enter your email address and create a password. To confirm your
account you should click on the link in the confirmation email you will be sent.

 Enter your university as the “Company” name and enter “Student” if prompted for
classification.

Once logged in, you can create a collection to store your colours. Before choosing your
colours, click on ‘collections’ and select ‘create collection’ from the dropdown menu.
Give a name to your collection and ‘save’ it. Mark your collection as “Private” so only you
have access to it.

You can now choose your colours - there are different ways to do this:

Option One
You can browse through the colours or search for specific colours using ‘colour search’,
then select any you choose and add them to ‘your collection’.
Option Two
You can upload an image or capture a photo with your phone using the browser option and
selecting ‘show results’. You can now select the colours you want from the closest
matches shown and add them to your named collection.

Option Three
You can search via RGB values, or you can upload a QTX file. In each case, Color Atlas
online will show you the closest matching atlas colours to add to your collection.

Whichever method you’ve chosen, once you’ve created your collection:

 You can click on specific colours selected to view colour information such as colour
values, dye recipes and eco compliance.
 You can open your collection, share the link, print out your chosen colour palette,
view digital fabric swatches or just reference it on your design boards.

We hope this you find this information useful and look forward to seeing your colourful
competition entries!
