All CFW-09 and CFW-11 models present the following at inverter terminals:
dV/dt 5200V/sec;
rise time tr 0.1sec;
minimum time between pulses 6sec;
switching frequency 5kHz (default values)
These values are in accordance with TBG-906 Weg standard requirements, for line
voltages up to 690V.
The maximum peak voltage at motor terminals will depend on several factors (*).
The most important is the motor cable length. The following rules are suggested for
deciding about output filters:
Note:
(*) This technical note is not valid in the following applications:
- motor with rated voltage lower than power supply rated voltage;
- inverters used with active front-end converter – e.g.: with CFW-09RB or CFW-
11RB.
Note:
(**)
- The output reactor must be placed close to the inverter (see figure 1).
- The output reactor is required to limit the output leakage current to ground. It avoids
the ground fault error (E11 in CFW-09 and F074 in CFW-11).
- The output reactor must be designed for withstanding additional losses created by
high frequency motor ripple current and leakage current. This last one increases as
cable length increases. For longer motor cables and small current designed reactors
there is a big influence of leakage current in reactor losses and heating. The
additional reactor heating must be also considered in panel cooling system in order
to guarantee safe ambient temperature operation.
L1= input (line) reactor – selection criteria according to item 8.7 of the inverter CFW-
09 manual (note that it’s only necessary for CFW-09 inverters)
L2= output (load) reactor – must be placed close to the inverter.
