✃ QUALITY PEOPLE

Vocabulary: personality
1

Worksheet A
1 Read out your sentences for your partner to correct the underlined words.

1 dislikes people from other parts of the country. There’s no real reason for it,
I think he’s/she’s just neurotic.

2 is a truly obstinate person. So many people have gone on to create great things
after hearing him/her speak.

3 often has a lot of ‘big’ ideas, which always end up being too big to work.
He’s/She’s a bit perceptive, I think.

4 always considers and listens to our ideas, even if he/she doesn’t agree with them.
It’s good that he’s/she’s so insensitive.

5 is naturally conscientious. He’s/She’s always asking questions about where I’ve

been, things I’ve bought, etc. I think he’s/she’s just nosy!

6 is a very rebellious person. He/She always likes being on his/her own, and
whenever you invite him/her out, he/she always finds an excuse not to come.

7 is so mature when it comes to studying/working. I sometimes wonder what

he’s/she’s doing in that position if he’s/she’s not interested!

sentences are true for. Share your answers with a partner.

Worksheet B
1 Read out your sentences for your partner to correct the underlined words.

1 is so apathetic. Even when she’s/he’s clearly wrong, she/he won’t change

her/his mind!

2 is quite a solitary person. She/He always knows when I’m having a problem,
even when I’ve hidden it well from everyone else.

3 is so inquisitive. She’s/He’s always panicking and thinking there’s something

wrong with her/his health, at the slightest sign of anything unusual.

4 is very over-ambitious for her/his age. We often have conversations about

things I can usually only speak to other adults about.

5 can be really inspirational at times. Whenever she/he sees someone upset,

she/he just ignores them.

6 is the kind of person who would take work with them to do on holiday,
if it wouldn’t get done otherwise. She’s/He’s really open-minded.

7 often does things just to be ‘different’, and as a consequence often gets into
trouble for it. She’s/He’s just a prejudiced person, I think.
