    ACTIVITY 1:

     Open your book in section 10c. Read the text about John Dau and write 7
    sentences following the model you found in Virtual Sabana

    JOHN DAU SENTENCES ABOUT JOHN DAU


    1. Dau had fled his home in southern Sudan
    2. Dau boarded a plane to New York
    3. Dau led and took care of a group of
    younger children
    4. He was forced to run again when the camp
    came under threat
    5. He had walked more than 1600 kilometers
    6. He was barefoot and wearing no clothes

    7. He chewed grass and ate mud to stay alive


    ACTIVITY 2:

    It is your turn now. Imagine you went through John’s experience. Write three things
    you would have done and three things you wouldn’t have done.
