Mimi found a cat

One Saturday evening as Mimi was cycling home from the playground, she found a cat
at the side of the road. She took the cat home cleaned it and gave the cat to eat. Mimi
named the cat Fifi.

In the evenings Mimi will take the cat for a walk in the garden. Fifi likes to play with a
rubber ball.

Mimi loves her cat very much. They became close to each other. Fifi keeps Mimi
company when she is at home.

Burglar!
IT was a very hot night. I could not sleep. I got up from my bed and went downstairs to
the living room. Everyone else was sleeping.

The neighbour’s dog was barking. I pulled the curtains aside and looked out. I was
shocked to see a man climbing up our gate. Quickly I rushed up to my parents’ bedroom.
My father woke up immediately. He rang the police. Then my mother woke my sister
up. We all locked ourselves in the bedroom.

We could hear the door opening downstairs. There was the sound of drawers opening.
Then we heard the police siren.

A short while later, we went downstairs. By then, the policemen had handcuffed the
burglar.

An Accident
One afternoon Ali was waiting outside the school for his mother. Suddenly he heard a
loud noise
.
A car had knocked down a cyclist. The boy was lying on the road. The bicycle was on
top of him. A passer-by removed the bicycle from the body.

The boy was bleeding on his hands and legs. The driver of the car carried the injured
boy to his car. Then he quickly drove away. Ali felt very sorry for the boy.

Picnic
On Saturday morning, Siti and her family went for a picnic. They went to Tasik Shah
Alam which is a lake surrounded by a huge park.

When they got there, Siti and her sister rushed to the playground. They played on the
swing and slides. Their father watched them play.

Siti’s mother unpacked the picnic basket. She brought sandwiches, burgers and
orange juice.

After they ate some food, they walked around the lake. There were many trees in the
park. It was shady and nice. It was an enjoyable picnic.

At the playground

Every evening Yati goes to the playground. There are many children at the playground.
Siti and Mei Wah are there too.

Some children are on the swing, swinging up and down. There are two boys on the see-
saw. Siti and Mei Wah are playing on the slides. Everybody is having lots of fun.

There are many mothers around. They are sitting on benches, watching their children
playing and chit-chatting.

Annual sports day.

Last Saturday morning, Harun’s school had their annual sports day. He was very
excited. It was held at the MPSJ Stadium. Some of the students went there with their
parents and some jog there as they were living not far from the stadium.

Harun took part in many events. He took part in the 100 meters, 200 meters and the
team relay. He came out 1st in the 100m and the 200 meters event. His relay team too
came out 1st beating the old record. They also had a telematch game for the parents.
Many parents took path including his parents.

After the events ended the principle gave out the medals to the winners. Harun became
the best runner in the school and he had a trophy. It was time for the closing ceremony.
We went home tired but very happy.
Mr. Singh the vegetable vendor

Mr. Singh a vegetable vendor. He sells his vegetable on his motorcycle. Every morning
he goes to the nearest village where the village ladies will wait for him.

He puts the vegetable in a big basket behind his motorcycle. As soon as he reaches the
village, he will sound the horn and the ladies at the village .will come and buy them.

The people at the village are friendly. The children will wait for him because they like to
play with the horn on his motorcycle.

Camping
Last weekend, Ali and his friends, Raju and Ah Seng went for a camping trip. They went to
Jeram Pasu. They cycled there because the place was near.

When they arrived at Jeram Pasu, they looked for a suitable place. They decided to
pitch their tent under a tree by the stream. They pitched the tent together.

At night, after having dinner, they set up the campfire. They sat around the campfire and
sang a few songs. They were very happy to spend the time together.

Camping
During the school holidays, Aiman and his friends went on a camping trip to an island. They
took a boat ride for about twenty minutes to go there.

When they arrived at the jetty, they carried their things to a campsite. At the campsite,
they pitched their tents near the beach. It was tiring but they enjoyed doing it.

At night, they had a campfire on the beach. They cooked their own food. It tasted
delicious. They enjoyed their dinner so much. After that, Aiman sang a song while his friend
played the guitar. The others clapped their hands happily.

Playground
One evening, Daniel and his friend went to the playground. They walked there
together. They were very happy.
The boys played on the swing happily. They sang together. There was another
boy playing on the slide.
Suddenly, one of the boys who were playing on the swing fell onto the ground.
He injured his leg. He cried painfully.
Immediately, his friend helped him. A man who was passing by saw the incident.
He called the ambulance. A few minutes later, the ambulance came and took him to the
hospital.
Gotong-royong
Last weekend, Sekolah Kebangsaan Damai had a ‘gotong royong’. They worked
together to clean the school compound. The teachers divided the pupils into groups. They were
given brooms, dustbins and plastic bags.

The boys cleaned up the field. They collected the rubbish and put them into the plastic
bags. The girls planted some flower plants.

Late in the evening, the teachers treated them with delicious lunch. They were very tired
but happy with their hard work.

Canteen
Chan was standing in line at the canteen because it was recess. He wanted to buy some
food because he was hungry. A naughty boy pushed him from behind.

Chan knocked a small boy in front of him. The boy fell down on the floor. He had some
bruises on his arm. He cried loudly.

A prefect saw what happened. He told the teacher on duty. The teacher came and
scolded the naughty boy.

Teacher’s Day
Yesterday was Teacher’s Day. We had a class party. Every student brought some food. Some of
us brought gifts for our teacher, Miss Chan. I made a card for her.

We played some games such as passing the parcel. The last person to get the parcel received a
prize.

After that our class monitor gave a speech. She thanked our teacher for teaching us many
things. Our teacher looked very happy.

Then they all had a feast. We invited the headmaster and the school clerk to join us.
Everybody enjoyed themselves.

A Flood
Last Monday it rained heavily. Our village was flooded. The water came up to my knees.
A motor boat came to our house. We were taken to the nearby school.

The school was on higher ground. Therefore it was not flooded. On the way to the school,
we saw some people on a raft. They waved to us when we passed by.

Some people waded in the water. One man carried a radio on his head. Another woman
carried a big bag. We all stayed in the school until the water level went down. Then we went
home to clean up our house.
