18th LHEPC: Winning is unexpected, Baylon says

“It was unexpected!”

This is what Sarah Baylon, News Editor of The Image Publication, said after winning 9th

place in News Writing Filipino and 10th place in Editorial Writing Filipino in the 18th Luzonwide

Higher Education Press Conference at Villa Alfredo’s Resort, San Fernando, Pampanga,

March 6-8.

“Sobrang unexpected kasi nagduda ako sa mga sinulat ko,” Baylon added upon

competing with more than 40 participants among six regions in Luzon from Region I, II, III, IV-

A, IV-B, and V, as well as delegates from Cebu.

“Masaya ako kasi may panalo tayo (The Image Publication),” she stated after being

asked about how she felt.

On the other hand, Jose Bio Bautista, BTLEd 1-A, won 1st runner up in Mr LACE 2019.
