ALBERT E. GUTIB
OIC Regional Director
DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT

Greetings!

I am writing to you to express my desire to serve as a Labor and Employment Officer II in this
executive department of the Philippine Government. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary
Education major in Filipino on April 3, 2019 at Occidental Mindoro State College (OMSC). I am also
planning to join the mass oath taking ceremony for Board Licensure Examination for Professional
Teachers (BLEPT) this February 2020 at Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro.

Three months after I graduated I started my first job in my alma mater. I became a part-time
teacher under Junior High School department. In the short period of being a Filipino and Edukasyon
sa Pagpapakatao (EsP) teacher, I was able to develop my communication skills and my work
capability and I believe that it helped me to be more prepared to a greater challenge which is to finally
embrace the job of being a Labor and Employment Officer II. Given my ample training in college, I
am confident that I am ready to work and do the responsibilities as an employee of this department and
I know that this reputed department can give me an opportunity to continue to develop myself
professionally.

I was a News Editor in the campus publication when I was still in college. I am able to contend
journalism in different cities and provinces; and brought pride to my family and to my institution. I
participated in various activities such as leadership trainings and community involvement programs.
When I’m still in college, I am a volunteer student-teacher in Civil Welfare Training Program (CWTS)
in Occidental Mindoro State College. I also attended various seminars and training programs such
like: International Training Program on 21st Century Educational Trends, Bread & Pastry Production
NCII, Seminar-Worksyap sa Katutubong Wika at Kultura ng Katutubong Mangyan, and Disaster
Preparedness Training. My experiences are my armor to be able to do my job well and to be an
industrious and responsible jobholder.

I know that the skills and knowledge that I acquired back then is not enough but I am willing to
be trained and to undergo series of workshops and lectures if you may ask me to do so when you hire
me. I am ready to be shaped by the training programs you provide for your employees.

Attached in this letter is my Personal Data Sheet (PDS), my rating in BLEPT, my certificates
which you can use for reference.

I am really hoping that you will give me a chance to work in this executive department. Thank
you for considering my application. I am hoping for your favorable response.

Sincerely,

SARAH MAY BAYLON
