So right now before entering the pool, I want you to sit on this edge. Alright good.

Okay kids so which hand do you use the most? Which hand do use to high 5. I want you to put both
of your hands on the floor pointing back. Very good.

So which hand you use the least?

Okay put the hand that you use the least beside your hand that you use the most, like this. turn
around lean your stomach on and wiggle wiggle into the pool.

EXIT

BLOW BUBBLE

Hi everyone! So have you ever blown out a candle like on a birthday cake?

Show me how would you do that?

Yup, so hold your hand in front of you with one finger up and blow out the candle! That’s great!

Now we’re going to practice blowing out the candle underwater!

That’s awesome, you wanna see candle while you blow it out?

Let’s put our whole face underwater while we do that.

That’s awesome, did you see the candle?

Awesome, great. Okay High 5!

SUBMERSION (HOLDING BREATH)

Okay now try to do a blow cheek like a blow fish. Okay good.

Now we are going to put half of your face in the water. Alright now try to put full face in the water.
So when my finger show thumbs down you have to go in the water with your blow fish okay? Good.

When my finger show thumbs up then you go up. Lets try 10 times.

FRONT / STARFISH FLOATING

Have you seen a starfish in SpongeBob square pants? Now we are going to do floats on our front,
okay? Like a starfish.
What goes in the water this time? Your tummy good. And your whole face in the water.

Okay let’s do it. Arms out, deep breath, face in. Keep holding it, keep holding it! (slowly let go off the
body) count to 10.

1, 2, 3 stand up. Good job!

So this time we are going to do front float, by yourself. Are you ready? (count until 10) That is
awesome. High 5!

BACK FLOAT

So we are going to float like a starfish. This is back float.

To float, are you ready? What do we put in the water?

What’s this called? Our ears are in the water.

Another one? Stomach to the top

Okay lie down in your back, ears in the water, stomach up, open your hands and legs like a starfish,
relax.

Okay count to 5 I am going to hold you.. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

Keep holding it, keep holding it.. deep breath! (slowly let go off the body) count to 10.

Stand up (name).. Wow! Look at that. Good girl/boy high 5!

STREAMLINE FLOATING

Okay now place 1 foot firmly at the wall. Okay this hand hold onto the wall.

Okay next make sure both of your hands must be straight behind your ears like a rocket or pencil.
Okay very good.

Okay hold my hand make sure you put your face in the water first. And go. Very good.

KICKING ON THE POOL DECK

Alright kids next thing we are going to work on is our kicking. When we kick we need to make sure
that we kick from the hip with our toes pointed keep your legs as straight as you can

We’re gonna start off by practicing right here from the wall okay? Okay we’re going to sit down on
the edge here and practice our kicking.

When we kick, we can start off sitting on the side like this. We want to make sure that we are right
on the edge just like that. Awesome! And we want to make sure our toes stay pointed we kick from
the hip and we try and keep our legs as straight as possible.

And when you do this you make little splashes like this.
Okay go ahead show me your kick. Good, awesome! Little faster and faster, as fast as you can. Wow,
that’s really good. Awesome, double high 5!

So we are going to play a game now. It is called red light and green light. Have you ever play that
game? So when I say green light you are going to kick as hard as you can and when I say red light you
are going to stop okay?

Alright and…green light okay you kids have to kick super super hard its gonna be like so much water
splashing. Okay red light. Okay so how about yellow light? Okay yellow light just kick a little. Good
(Continue to play with this game).

KICKING TUMMY LAYING ON POOL DECK

Okay We’re gonna start off by practicing right here from the wall okay? Okay so we’re going to put
your stomach on the wall and start to kick. And we want to make sure our toes stay pointed we kick
from the hip and we try and keep our legs as straight as possible. And when you do this you make
little splashes like this.

Okay good job. High 5!

KICKING HOLDING WALL

Alright kids next thing we are going to work on is our kicking. When we kick we need to make sure
that we kick from the hip with our toes pointed keep your legs as straight as you can.

We’re gonna start off by practicing right here from the wall okay? Okay we’re going to hold the wall.
And we want to make sure our toes stay pointed we kick from the hip and we try and keep our legs
as straight as possible. And when you do this you make little splashes like this.

Okay good job. High 5!

STREAMLINE KICKING

Okay now we are going to kick and glide. Okay this hand hold onto the wall.

Okay next make sure both of your hands must be straight behind your ears like a rocket or pencil.

Okay very good.

Okay hold my hand make sure you put your face in the water first. And kick. Very good.
STREAMLINE PUSH OFF, GLIDE AND KICK

Okay now we are going to kick and glide. Place 1 foot firmly at the wall. Okay this hand hold onto the
wall.

Okay next make sure both of your hands must be straight behind your ears like a rocket or pencil.
Okay push with your leg. Okay very good.

Okay hold my hand make sure you put your face in the water first. And kick. Very good.

BACKSTROKE FLOATING AND KICKING

Okay kids, take a look at what I am doing and than we will do that together.

So hands on the sides, head back and watch me do it first ok?

And I push off, I push my tummy up and I add a kick, ok?

Okay, so we are going to try that together now.

Let’s keep our arms down by our sides when we do this, chin up, tummy and hips up, toes pointed
and keep going! That’s was awesome.

What we’re going to do now is to do it completely without the help of anybody.

So we are going to tilt the head back remember when you push off, keep that tummy up and arms
straight down by your sides okay?

One, two, three go!

Remember to keep that tummy up, chin back good, stop.

DOGGY PADDLE

We are going to do doggy paddle.

Hands and arm straight and chin near the water and paddle with your legs kicking.

Okay good. Now we try to do with the noodle.
