WOMEN’S DAY SPECIAL – LIFE OF MALTI IN MUMBAI.

Women’s day is celebrated on 8th March This year for Women’ Day we visited a
globally to empower, motivate and celebrate the construction site and interviewed Malti. Malti is

about their education she said, “ Paisa nahi hai,
school ki fees kaise denge ”(We don’t have
money to pay fees). When we informed her
about government schools she replied, “ Time
kiske paas hai, school door hai”( Who has the
time to leave them to school). She doesn’t want
them to have the same life that she has. She said
if she gets some more money she would
definitely send them to school and keep no
difference between her daughter and sons.
We asked her how she manages her work and
house with low income, she said that it was
sufficient for the family. She would plan her
expenditure. She had responsibilities of her
husband’s parents. Her daily tasks included,
filling water, washing clothes, washing utensils,
cleaning the house and picking loads.
