RECRUITMENT NOTICE: RE-ADVERTISEMENT

Senior Researcher: Water and Sanitation


U.K. Research Councils have come together to fund the cutting edge research to
successfully meet some of the greatest global challenges facing human
civilization. This five country collaborative research project addresses “the Water
Security and Sanitation Challenges”. With the cases of NCT Delhi and NCR, SPA
New Delhi, along with other partners, has secured funding to conduct research on
various aspects of water security and sanitation challenges.

It is in this context that the Department of Physical Planning requires one Senior
Researcher: Water and Sanitation, initially for a period of two years extendable
for another maximum three years depending on work progress. This is a purely
ad-hoc position without any claim on SPA New Delhi. The candidate for the
position of Senior Researcher: Water and Sanitation will have acquired the
following qualifications, skills, experience, etc.:

EssentialQualifications: A relevant first class postgraduate degree along with a


PhD from a reputed academic institution.

Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in the field of water and


sanitation.

Contract Period: Two years initially

Skills: High quality written and verbal communication skills; SPSS based analysis;
and GIS based plan making and design skills

Salary: INR 75,000 per month with an increment of INR 8,000 every year

Start Date: The selected candidate will have to start as early as possible.
