Ravi Yoga is formed when Moon is four Nakshatra away from Sun. This yoga is the
destroyer of all inauspiciousness, a good day for successful action and intent. This occurs
when Moon Nakshatra is 4,6,9,10,13 and 20 Nakshatra distant from the Sun Nakshatra.
Ravi Yoga is a specific time period in Hindu lunar month. It is a good time period for
important ceremonies like house warming, bringing car home, closing of home deal,
opening of shops, booking of cars etc. Ravi Yoga nullifies all the bad muhurtas.

For Example:

On 19th Aug Sun is in Magha Nakshatra & Moon is in Ut. Bhadrapada

To find the distance from Sun Nakshatra to Moon Nakshatra we need to count the Nakshatra from
Magha to Uttara Bhadrapada. That is coming to 17. Next find out if 17 is falling the Ravi yoga
Nakshatra numbers given above that is 4,6,9,10,13,20 so 19 th is not the day of Ravi Yoga so we need
to find when is Moon moving to Bharani Nakshatra and that day will be Ravi Yoga Day. Moon is
moving in Bharani Nakshatra on 22nd of August 2019 which is considered as auspicious day with Ravi
Yoga with Sun & Moon Distance is 20 Nakshatra.
