1. Col Dr Dalvinder Singh Grewal has been a CEO, President HR, researcher,
education administrator and prolific writer.
2. He has been the Registrar of SLIET, Principal Guru Nanak Dev Engg College
Ludhiana, Director/Group Director, CT, GTBKIET & BMS Colleges of Engg., Dean of
Desh Bhagat Univ. and Advisor of Sukhmani Group of Institutions for past 15 years,
Vice President/President of EMTEX Bombay/Trident Group and Colonel Commanding
Officer in India Army with a total experience of 52 years.
3. He is PhD in 2 subjects: Management and English and has 7 PGs. His research
guidance includes 18 PhD/M. Tech/MBA/ M. Phil students.
4. He is author of 42 books on diverse subjects ranging from poetry to research in
Management, Nanotechnology, Electronics and Religion. He has published 165 papers

7. Details of Latest Experience: As Dean R & D Desh Bhagat University since 24 Aug
2012, responsible for Research and Development and coordinated/directed/assisted
submission 47 projects for research worth around 21 crores to AICTE, UGC, ICSSR,
DRDO, Ministry of Science & Technology (DST), Ministry of HRD, Ministry of Environment
& Forest, Ministry of Minority Affairs, Ministry of Social Welfare and number of other
agencies. Grants worth 13.15 lakhs have been received/approved from various agencies
and others are being followed up. Faculty is continuously motivated towards research and
publications. During the period 196 papers were published by DBU faculty in international
journals, 118 papers in National Journals, in addition 59 papers in international seminars
and 107 papers in national seminars, selected articles were published in the form of
book. 53 books were published out of which 9 Books were published by the university.
Coordination/assistance/guidance was provided for publishing of International Journal of
Business Management & Research by the School of Management; International Journal of
Scientific Research and Engineering Development by School of Engineering &
International Journal of Education by school of Education and International Journal of
Social Science and Languages by School of Social Sciences and languages. Semester wise
courses in PhD and M.Phil classes were started in 33 subjects in 15 faculties. A total of
191 students for PhD and 133 students for M.Phil got admitted in last 3 batches. The first
three batches have already completed 6 months course. Out of these 65 presented their
synopsis and 47 got registered for final Ph.D. Now in the fourth batch, 94 PhD and 75
M.Phil have cleared the written test and interview and classes are planned to start wef 2nd
yearly 2014. In a short period of two years, the university has achieved tremendous
progress in research & development.
8. Details of Previous Experience: As Advisor Sukhmani Group of Institutions Chandigarh
advised in running 12 professional educational institutions; started process of approval as
university and 5 new colleges. As Group Director-Principal Universal Group of Institutes
and GTBK Group of institutions of Engg. & Tech Malout performed duties of Director-
Principal and Group Director to conduct PhD, M.Tech, B.Tech, Diploma in Engg.,
Pharmacy and Secondary Courses. As Group Director and Director Principal College of
Engg., College of IT & Mgmt and Polytechnic College ensured Accreditation of BMS and
put through approval process as Deemed University. As Principal of GNE Ludhiana, got it
accredited and put through approval process of Deemed Univ. Started PhD and M.Tech
courses in GNE, BMSCE and GTBKIET, increased admissions in B.Tech from 22 to 535 in
BMSCE and from 68 to 335 in GTBKIET in first year; increased placements and results,
developed faculty having qualifications of B. Tech only to M.Techs and PhDs. As Principal
and Advisor to CT Educational Society, Jallandher, and Sri Sukhmani Group of Institutions
guided setting up new colleges from planning, construction, supervision, inspections,
approval and admission stages. Taught B.Tech., M.Tech and MBA students in Computer
subjects, Radar, Micro Electronics, Nanotechnology, EDP, Project Management, HR,
Organization Behaviour, Research methodology etc. with 95% to 100 % pass in all
subjects taught. Students topped in all M.Tech. courses and 4 of the 6 B.Tech. courses in
PTU. Education Administration of up to 2500 students of UG, PG and PhD. Got ISO 9001-
2000; Processed Accreditation, Autonomy and Deemed-to-be-University Status.
Institutions excelled in sports with championship of PTU. Players represented PTU in
University games. Won awards in Extra-curricular activities. Initiated and developed
Training & Placement Systems; arranged placement in world class companies like
Infosys, Wipro, Infosys etc. Raised placement to 70% from 0 level. Training & Placement
of over 400 Engineering Graduates passing out each year. Signed MoU with Univ. in USA
and Australia. .
